I just activated a free trial on the Michigan 247 board. I don't want to repeat verbatim premium info, but it was definitely good news for Illinois.

I looked into doing the same but it looks like you have to pay the subscription after the trial is over - it says "subscription is non-refundable"

Read the fine print! :D

Tried to read the fine print on my cup, but realized it has chafed off after all the recruiting seasons. Probably said to replace after Cliffmas.

Wonder what today's recruiting visit is going to entail? Is he able to view a practice of the current team, or is that off-limits on an UV?

Haha, that's what I get for being greedy. Oh well. Still worth it.

Man that board was rough on each other. I thought we got into here, my goodness! nothing like that.

There are some other Illini boards that are pretty nasty. Dan runs a tight ship, so I'd say IL is more an exception than the norm.

BU's time watching from Macomb will give him an angle to sell the Illini to an in-state kid. Bell weather recruit. With Frazier and Lucas and if we get Moore, not sure Smith is a must have talent wise, but I think he is a must have if BU has downstate locked down. For the good times to roll, we have to own downstate, and get our share of Chicago.

I'll be at the State Farm Center the rest of the day.....setting up for a monster truck show.... I'll keep an eye out and try to snap some pics if I see MS and BU .

I think the fact that both fanbases don't feel confident right now is testament to how well the Smith family has handled the recruiting process.

Now let's hope things go our way!

I never understand this idea that the goal of having one of your kids being recruiting to play major college sports is keeping any indication of their preferences away from the internet.

Handling it well is putting the kid in a positive position to develop on and off the floor. Having a high school coach going around blabbing to pay site reporters that some school is the favorite doesn't enter into that at all.
