I hadn't really bothered to watch much of Smith's highlight footage in the past, probably because I assumed IL had no shot. I just watched some on YouTube. Good lord, the kid's a beast. If he's #75 then this is the best class of all time. He looks like UI soph/junior Deron Williams in high school. And now I'll be really disappointed if he goes elsewhere. Wish I'd decided to not bother looking at the videos. Kid is a baller.

I changed it from "MSU" to "elsewhere" just to guarantee victory.

I wouldn't read much into it, he does that with the Mizzou account anytime he reports on their potential recruits as well.

On a more serious note, I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that MS does not do the hat thing. I know I could be wrong, but I'm thinking he just humbly make his announcement. No games. Since I initially registered my MSU vote last week, I'll stick with it and hope that I'm wrong! Maybe the Miles Bridges decision has moved the needle in our direction.
Hats off to Cash35 (and the Easton Hawks), who called it first --- if MS ends up wearing the Orange and Blue!

Hmm. Looks like 247's offer list doesn't show him having an offer but it shows up in his timeline there, and Rivals and Scout report he has an actual offer, so I am going to go with "I was mistaken" on this one.
I should probably get back to doing real work now.
