And JT needs to get his academics in order so he can take some of his OV's. Not sure he has cleared NCAA.
not sure on that since he took an OV to UofI

People pretty connected to Tilmon have said that grades are not the concern.
Yeah I would be surprised if grades were an issue seeing that he went to LaLumiere academy for a year. My understanding is that student athletes get a lot of individual attention and leave well prepared...but I could be wrong.
That and lets face it Martin's sister is his assistant principal now. Does anyone really think grades are whats holding this up if he is in the bag for Mizzou?
It's a risk I'd take.
I have this feeling we're dodging a bullet with him going elsewhere. There's a pretty good chance he never makes the NBA - for one reason or another - and the perception will be that it's all Illinois' fault for not "developing him."
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him back in the fold. But he's a huge risk.
See Cliff Alexander.
This is what I said - you don't agree????

Averaged 29 points and 9 assists for Carver, complete with pics and articles - tweeted to Ayo and Cam who must have been giving some guff.

I'm pretty sure all of Mac's kids, Byron, Lance, Mike, Nick and Cindy, were All-Public League guards and Byron made the League for a while. So for those on here wondering (or bemoaning) why MP and the Fire always get great guards, that's one reason why.

It's the silent re-verbal!Anyone else notice the Tilmon tidbit?
Jeremiah Tilmon, C, East St. Louis, 6-11/235, Sr.
The athletic Illini commit showed the ability to change games, blocking 4.0 shots per contest to go with 15.3 points and 11.0 rebounds.
Looks like someone forgot to proofread, this was published yesterday.

I have a buddy who plays D1 college golf and about two weeks ago they were at a tournament in St. Louis I believe. He posted a picture of Cuonzo Martin and another man who he didn't recognize sitting at a bar in their hotel and said they were talking about NCAA infractions.
Hard to believe your buddy doesn't know who Calapari is. He was probably giving a data dump on how to get away with recruiting violations.
Groce didn't reach out to levert imo because he didn't think he was a big 10 player
Groce was in constant contact with Levert. There was no room for another guard is what he was told
Talking about the center position is old school. When I look at P5 starting line ups they are usually 3 guards and 2 forwards or visa versa. BU just wants athletes that can run the floor.

Jackie Carmichael got drafted out of ISU. Although he is 6'9 and averaged 17 and 9 as a senior in a probably much more competitive Valley (believe Creighton was still in the league then and if memory serves they may have been a 3-4 bid league for a couple of years).
Not saying McIntosh's NBA chances are good, but if he stayed at ISU it wouldn't be crazy for him to jump from 12/6 to 17/9 stat-line, and he's only 2 inches smaller than Carmichael was. Not great (no one's chances are great) but not impossible either.
