Hate to admit it, but because of our Fall misses I was having a hard time getting up for the season. I so much want the Illini to have sustained success, and to do that you need to keep the classes coming. This team is on the rise, and I couldn't believe that none of our prime Fall targets wanted to be part of what Underwood is building here.
But today my heart is beating a bit better. Glad you are on board R.J.

BBV makes sense for a transfer. If I were Hamlin, I’d stay out for now. Kofi potentially gone and no clear replacement means open competition and available minutes. He’s got good size. Ideally, we don’t need a ton of scoring from him. Defense and rebounding.

Really like this kids game. He will be a ton of fun to watch with Curbelo throwing lobs. If Kofi comes back next year (pipe dream) I expect we could be top 15-10 again

This wouldn’t surprise me at all, and if you asked me to name one Hamlin would be it. Hard to get a read on BBV and Hutch with their injury woes, but could certainly see one or both not being back. Grandison says all the right things, so hopefully he’s back, but two new wings as well as Hawk and possibly DMW back might have him looking for greener pastures.

I love Melendez's aggressiveness to the rim. He's going to need at least year (maybe two?) with an S&C coach to be ready for more than garbage minutes.
