Demarius Jacobs is taking an official visit to SLU this weekend, per his twitter. Did we find another guard? Hmmm.

Maybe we are in better with CR than some think...maybe DJ is contingent on Ramey completely taking us out of equation?

IMO, Jacobs is a bonus in the event that we have open scholarships we can't fill.

That is, I'd love to have his athleticism and attitude on the roster......if we have the room. But if not? Meh.

lol, GMAB! There's always going to be stiff competition for high major kids. Always. This article basically maps out ISU fans' fever dream. Let's see how they do with Chicago area kids the next couple seasons.

Looks as if there is an "in" for Iowa State that we may not have known from the past and potentially for us now with Missouri as far as Simeon goes:

Cornell Mann built the relationship (in) with Simeon while at Iowa St, I am sure they have continued to build upon that in Chicago...now he is at Missouri..it wont help us to say the least.

So with names and schools now listed in connection with the FBI things could get intersting in recuiting across the board.

Slightly disappointed after watching that video.

Yeah, unless he is an elite outside shooter, I would agree.

I would guess that he's not at the top of the staff's list.

Apparently Missouri just offered him again. Huh?

I heard on the radio today they offered him again because the original offer was from the previous coach Kim Anderson and they wanted to reaffirm their interest.

I'm thinking having a player like Trice on the team makes us better even it were mostly from a practice standpoint. I think that may be some of why the adjustment has been so difficult. They are not practicing against players that have the tenacity they are facing in games. I'm all for signing him up even though he won't bring a lot on the offensive side.

“I watch every game and I’m into it,” Dosunmu said. “[Illinois coach Brad Underwood] is a great coach, he gets to the players. He yells at them and has the passion I like. He’s just great. I know I can come in there and be myself. I’m looking forward to it big time. A lot of people are gonna be doubting us because they are having a bad year but I’m excited for the challenge.”

That is really encouraging. We can really use that kind of attitude. Looks like he's excited to be part of changing the culture.

I agree with all the points, except not bringing much to the offense. I could easily see him on the baseline, roaming side to side for dump down passes or lobs for the offensive side.

This also would allow a player with his skill set to own the boards hopefully. With our guards the way they collectively rebound, this would be another huge plus for us.:chief:

Alan Griffin @alangriffin_ is having a big senior season at Archbishop Stepinac (NY).
Big East schools are making a run at him & he tells us the #Illini are making a move!

Okay I was so in obviously with Ayo, and we got him, I am mostly in on Jones, and I hope we get him, I almost am sold on Jacobs helping, so he would be a plus, I really would like Trice/Taylor combo, so I am buying that....but c'mon MAN, this kid leaves a lot to be desired if we are seriously trying to land him.

Ackward player, not athletic (per video), sloppy ball handler, etc etc etc...Not convinced on this one at all.:chief:

Ayo impressed the **** out of me early on when he was first injured. He made a comment about wanting to get back out on the court that night due to all of the orange & blue in the bleachers at their game. This guy is bleeding orange & blue already! Also off the court, have seen an article where he is signing autographs & hanging out with the kids. That is first class stuff!

I think it just proves the point that BU is getting a guard and a big no matter what. Casting a wide net. But let's not jump to conclusions from a poorly shot video from only 1 tournament.
