11-15-13. The day we almost broke Dan's message board.
I'll def go with Snider as most significant miss of Groce era.

IMO it was the hardest to swallow because of when and how it happened. But I think losing Jackson was the most significant because of just how good he was. Evans is right up there in talent as well.

So has Smith said anything about timetables for official visits or making a decision or anything?????

Snider was the biggest because of the ripple effect. Groce thought he had his PG. Once he flipped we were playing catch-up on our other PG targets, and missed out on them as a result.

Me too. Evans was 100% Illinois on crystal ball and then he comes and visits and leaves heading to OSU. What in the heck happened?

Still to this day I consider Evans the biggest recruiting miss in the Groce era. He would have made the difference in us making the tourney last year (barring injury of course) and made so many other players better.

Still lose sleep over that one....and baffles me what in the heck happened?

It was all the weather.;)

I think I heard that he previously took some officials, and only has like 2 left. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.

Regarding timetable, don't think he's said yet. My guess would be that he picks his school within the next couple of months. Spring singing period is in April?? I would imagine the chances of getting a new (good) offer after that is pretty slim.

Cliff wasn't nearly as big of a deal as Snider. And Snider isn't nearly as valuable as Evans. Evans has to be the biggest miss in the Groce era. Not his fault, but the Abrams injury was a major component.

My vote goes to Snider. He is Groce's Eric Gordon. "Solidly" committed player that flips on signing day out of nowhere. It's a shame we have to many options to choose from in the Groce era.

Depending who you talk to Groce played a large part in not landing Evans.

He thought he could get Brunson and didn't exactly prioritize the #2 PG of the class and tell him if he would verbal the team was his.
