Liddell = Anderson?

I'm seeing some Nick Anderson in Liddell built and game. Originally thought he was the closest thing to Antoine Walker I've seen at the Illinois high school level since Antoine left Mount Carmel. Still think so, but Antoine likely taller and longer. But who knows if he will top off at 6-8 instead of 6-6.

Totally different players and I have watched both. EJ Liddell is a PF (4) while Whitney will be a SF (3) at the college level.

I have said in other posts that the last few years in Illinois, there have been many good players, but only 3 that I have watched who differentiated themselves early in their career (way before senior year) as potential difference makers in college: Brunson, Liddell, and Adam Miller.

Jeremiah Tilmon?

I'd have to think the newest Chicago Bull would be on that list as well.

If you mean Jabari Parker, my post was meant as post-Jabari era. If we go back in time, players like Parker, Rose, and quite a few others would be on that list.

Tilmon was never at at that level in HS.

On Dontai Allen (avg 28 ppg at AUU) and Kentucky Recruiting...just highlights the brand and leverage of the "have's" and "have nots" in college ball recruiting:

"they were just telling me to get my conditioning better and then I would have a serious chance to play there and if I were to do well in front of Coach (John) Calipari, then maybe I would be good enough then for that offer.”

Adidas Gauntlet Finale: Eric Bossi's Saturday takeaways

WALKER KESSLER IS A BIG-TIME TALENT

Without a doubt, the best prospect that I watched on Saturday was seven-footer Walker Kessler of the Game Elite 16U team.

He has it all. Kessler is skilled, can shoot with deep range, plays hard, rebounds and has plenty of athleticism to go with everything else. The only problem I had watching him play was that he wasn't getting the ball enough. He's too advanced and too good on the 16U level to not get a touch each time down the floor.

Kessler told me that Illinois, Memphis and St. John's have offered this week and that North Carolina is showing increased interest. Georgia, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Auburn, Stanford, Florida, Xavier and others have already offered. By the end of the summer, Kessler could push for the national top 10 in 2020.

This article also talks about recent offers Anthony Walker and Andre Curbelo.
