Frazier and Florida Elite start pool play at 5:05 CT today. Don't know my Georgia geography very well but I'm assuming Groce can make it from the UA tourney to Best of the South by then.

It's no secret now. Goodwin will be commiting when he feels he has earned the respect he so much desires. He wants those blue bloods to call his name. He wants people to respect his play. And then...ILL!

But if this is known to the blue bloods that he's all I-L-L! Why would they make a courtesy offer? Here's hoping they move on to other targets and it puts a very large chip on his shoulder... and of course that he is in fact all aboard for the Illini.

First off, I don't know that Goodwin really is all ours and just looking for respect, but it seems more plausible after the Tilmon commit. I think blue bloods will offer because they won't view it as a courtesy offer. Those schools always think they have a good chance to land a recruit like Goodwin, because 90% of the time they do.

I guess Goodwin is the long anticipated "just waiting for offers from UK and Duke so I can turn them down and go to Illinois" recruit. We've imagined this ridiculous scenario for years. Great if it turns out to be the case, but it would be even better if he'd just go ahead and commit in August.

Didn't it start with DJax turning down UK. :D

Hope he throws a change-up and commits soon, as it will give the staff big mo to close on Scruggs and Culver. Personally, I favor a Sam McLaurin-esque style commitment.

Naive greedy question, but what chance do we have in getting the #1 recruiting class?

We're at #2 or #3 now, but would getting three more of the guys on our radar likely net us the #1 spot when everything is said and done?

No chance. Even if we landed Scruggs, Wilkes and Goodwin, UK or Duke would probably still have a better class. I wouldn't complain with that class though :D

Zero. The #1 class will be Duke or Kentucky. Very few of the top prospects have committed at this point.

Probably no chance. Kentucky will probably get 3 top-20 players or something.
