In a recent interview Tilmon said Goodwin is waiting on an offer from a particular school. It's not a blue blood and they didn't make the tourney last year. He is not going to go there it's just somewhere he'd like to have an offer from. Anybody know who he might be talking about?
Faber College.

Going to update my big man wish list, would take Derek Culver over the others. If all he did was dunk and block shots which appears he could do that in the college level I would take him. But he is very skilled for a legitimate college level big man. His passing skills and mid-range jumper would compliment playing alongside J Tilmon. Appears that he could also back-up Tilmon at center as well.

I know that the stretch 4 is becoming the norm, but I'm tired of getting killed inside and constantly losing the rebound battle. A combo of Tilmon and Culver would give us an elite level talent at the PF and C spots.

OSU and WVU appear to be the leaders, but Groce knows Ohio well. Possibly at 6-10 could be sold on not being the center but being developed as a PF for the next level.

Forgot about Culver, as it appeared we were a longshot. Tilmon's commitment changes the calculus, as Groce can sell playing PF (his NBA position) to Culver. Plus, joining a stacked class. He's already had an unofficial visit. Maybe, just maybe, he'll recalibrate. I'd put him at the top of the list.

Between Tilmon and the July evaluation period, this board has become fun to visit again.
Love it.

So what has happened to Da'Monte to experience such a fall in the rankings? I know he missed some time with a sprained ankle, but falling from the 40's to outside the top 100 seems pretty significant

On the other hand, Rivals has Williams at #77. Pick your ranking service. 😀

Anyone have Pickett's stats from last night?

That's what Tilmon said in the interview. I thought it was weird too. Tilmon apparently told him, "no need to wait for an offer if you're not going there". If true I don't like the sounds of it. Did anyone else see this article?

2 offers going out this morning to 2 2019 bigs. Also on JGood, SLU is still hanging around and a little worrisome, and Alabama likely to get a visit. Long way to go on that one I'm afraid. ILL!

Excellent re-cap of Day 1 @ NY2LA Summer Jam in MKE. Da'Monte and Justin Smith with good write ups as top performers. Smith w/22 pts and DMW 18 (mostly 4th qtr).
Smith names Illinois, IU, Villanova, Iowa State, Stanford and Wisc. as recruiting him the hardest.

Evan Flood is a good analyst and good writer. Anyone got anything on Pickett?

3 great '18 PGs in our backyard (not counting Kezo or Gilyard). Going to be difficult to pass on them (even assuming Ayo is out). This will be considered sacrilege, but maybe Finke shouldn't be the #1 priority. Gordon will be a hard pull, but he's gotta be #1, amirite?

If we take 6 in '017, that would mean no ships in 2018 unless their is some attrition. I can't get my arms around that.

Gilyard is 2017 (unless he reclassified), but I am not a fan of his game. Very erratic PG. Kezo is a mystery, I liked him when I first watched him play early in his career, but nobody knows what is really up with him.

Thing is with Damonte is he could end up being the best player in the class.

Yes, his dad had a style that always made it look like he wasn't hustling or trying hard, all the while he was mopping the floor with you. Frank just made it look easy and evaluators are discounting DaMonte at their peril.

That he could. The main issue is consistency. He also has a tendency to defer, but I don't see that being an issue down the road. Kid is a team player, not a me first guy. Has to really work on the PG skills. Could become an ultra killer, Nitty squared.
