This is true. A lot of AAU programs/family's give schools courtesy of naming them "finalists" and schools give "offers" to athletes to enhance their portfolios. Wilkes w/ his 2 OV's announced (UCLA & UNC) would indicate we are an extreme longshot even to get the visit.

Kiir seems similar to Theo John in terms of size, athleticism, motor, and defensive instincts, but sounds like a better rebounder with more offensive tools and awareness. Looks like Groce really homed in on some underrated Florida prospects this year.

Speaking of Kiir he had a great performance @ Adidas Nations yesterday with 18 pts/14 rbs. He is B1G ready and proved that with an outstanding Top 100 camp performance in VA in June. Not one of 12 All Stars (Scruggs & JSmith were), but all in all a good camp against top competition.

An add on to this: coaches can not retweet a recruit while they are on a visit. However they can retweet what the recruit tweeted once the visit is over. Lovie had a lot of retweets this morning.

I have no clue what kind of shot we have at landing him, but I'd be so elated to land Kiir. He reminds me a little of Thon Maker.

That's what I do. Whatever that is. lol

Really feeling good about where the '17 class is right now. Plenty of time for it to go south, but am anticipating being downright giddy.

Reel it in. I really like Kiir too, but that comparison is a bridge too far.
