Yep that was Damir. Great talent we never got to really appreciate. Very unfortunate.

I like Damir also. I'm still a little miffed he didn't take the wide open shot at the end of the game to either tie or win?? And passed off to Frankie for a contested shot in the NCAA Tournament.

I read somewhere that he's coming in tonight and here thru Tuesday evening. Probably get a commitment from him Tuesday morning if I had to guess.

August Mahoney with the offer, yes please. So vital for Underwood's offense.

This kid is perfect.

#Funfact: August's growth plates are indicating that this kid will be over 6'5+ when its all said and done but hey "what do doctor's really know".

He can make the 3's for sure but I hope he can get his elbows up and his release point higher.

Dude can definitely shoot and it always gets me a little excited to see someone hit a contested floated with their off hand because that's probably the most difficult shot in basketball. Still didn't see much of anything else besides one pretty nice nice pass. Not a lot of elevation on his shot either which can be worrisome but it is a quick release.

The quick release and deep range can make up for a low release point. And he seems always ready to shoot, without needing to think, pause, set his feet, etc. More importantly: can he play a lick of defense, pass it or handle it? One great skill is great, but you can't be too predictable or one-dimensional if you want playing time. Looks like he has room and time to grow, though, and is off to a great start.

I don’t get why kids are allowed to catch a pass, then hop on both feet to set before they shoot? He does it at least 8-10 times in this video and nobody says a word, it’s a travel! I saw it all year in HS basketball this year as well and most officials let it go as well. Drives me insane, teach kids to step in as they catch, not after they catch.

With that being said, kid can knock em down!

If both feet come down at the same time it's a jump stop and legal, thank LeBron James.

You are right that traditionally, it is a travel, but those rules have changed, or at least the officials enforcement has changed. It's no different than when they do a handoff out top or a pass to someone out top and they take two steps after catching the pass and then set. Never a travel called. The game has changed so much, I feel like a dinosaur.

This is a little late but I saw the Kohl Center was sold out for their high school state championship games, 16,000+ people. How can they do something like that, but IHSA can't even get 5,000? I know part of the reason is from expanding from 2 to 4 classes but they can't be the only reason, right?

If you watch the video, he catches the ball and with both feet down and then hops to set both feet.....it is without a doubt a travel. And no, the rules have not changed, but yes for whatever reason I do agree the enforcement by officials has changed.

I was at the game in a suite at the Kohl Center. Damir was open from the FT line but passed to Harrington who was open for a three that would've given us the lead, but he wouldn't shoot it either. Still mad at Harrington for passing to Frank. Frank got a good look himself from about 10' on the baseline to tie, but it wouldn't go.

It looks like a step and a half to me,same as what's a allowed for a layup.

It was really only clearly a problem during that drill where he's standing, waiting for the pass. In the parts of the drill where he's running in and catching on the move, it's just a jump stop. And during the game action, it looked like he was almost always moving in or to the side as he caught it, which would then make the two foot landing/jump a jump stop, too. It's possible he could get called for it if we was just standing and waiting for the pass, but as you noted, even that isn't likely to get called these days. Interestingly, from the right corner, he seemed to step in with only one foot, while in the left corner, he jumped in with both.
