Any more updates??

Ayo is playing point; Miller mostly setting up on the wing. Miller already has 9 in the first quarter. Not sure how much Ayo has but he looks SO smooth and really knows how to use his size when driving. also... when MP has a defensive rebound, Ayo shoots down court and is fast with the ball.

He can really drive; but so far i have yet to see him go out of control. He seems to always make the right pass too....

MP up 25 to 16 with :40 left in first quarter

Bol Bol is shutting down the interior and forcing MP to shoot from the outside. MP isn't doing were well hitting their outside shots. Down by 13.

Ayo struggles with his 3 pt shot. That is something he will have to improve moving forward.

Ayo asserting himself in the 4th quarter. Now with 16 with 5:50 left in game. MP down 60-55

Ayo shot is hideous

His shot is not hideous. I would say that he needs to raise the release point and set his feet a little better, but the ball has good rotation and it comes smoothly out of his hands.

He's also shooting over size that he'd only see in the NBA. Two seven footers really caused problems in that zone.

I liked his aggressiveness and his ability to get to the rim. Good game by both teams.

His shot is hideous. He has good ability to get to the rim but if he wants any prayer of hitting a 3 at the next level he needs to stop jump/skipping into his shot and release higher.

Assuming Tejon and Smith keep their starting roles, will be interesting to see who slides into the Alstork starting role.

My money is on AJ.

I think Ayo will have to outplay Tejon or Frazier to crack the starting lineup.

Ayo will contribute with his size and ability to get to the rim just like Smith is doing this year. If he defends well he will get a lot of minutes.

And DaMonte Williams like Jordan does all the little things and plays smart.

Hard to believe 3 of those 6 guys will come off the bench next year......no more Jeff Jordan's contributing major minutes.

I believe some of those players will be exposed against real competition later in this season, and BU will shorten the rotation. Abrams has like 50% 3-point shooting in nonconf last season (which is actually way stronger than what we have now) but cannot hit anything in the conference. Ayo will show his value immediately against strong competition.

I do not see us playing less people , I would almost think we will see some getting even more min as we play better teams do to Finke and Black needing more time off the floor. As far as Ayo I will start off with saying I do think he will be a really god player for us, but I saw a lot of things in the game tonight that kind of made me wonder. First was any time there was a break and the coach was talking to them AYO was standing in the back just looking around like he didnt need to listen. 2nd was how many times during the game you saw 4 MP players on D and Ayo was never 1 of them. I do think once he gets here and has a real coach he will be fine, but just wasnt real impressed with things I saw from this one game

Like you said, it's one game and it was the one game where outside of the guard position...they we're outgunned and outmanned rather significantly.

I'm not sure I ever saw Ayo sit down during the game. He played the full 32 minutes in a game where they were pressing all game long. Add that to the fact that in the 4th quarter, he got the ball pretty much every single possession(while they ran the offense through Miller in the 3rd) and he had to create. Now add that to the fact that it was the first game of their season and they're High Schoolers. They aren't going to be a model of perfection(Miller chucked up a couple of air balls)nor will they be in peak physical shape like they will be in college.

No excuse for not getting back on defense (though I didn't notice any 5 on 4 plays). Once the season plays out, I suspect he'll be sharper.

im not saying he didnt get back, what I am saying is if you watch the game , thre are many times where you see all 5 FP players and 4 MP players going after the ball or at least in the shot and no sign of AYO, and yes it was one game, and as I said with better coaching that wouldn't be happening at all. I think Pearson had a very nice game for what he was up against and other then him MP has no inside guys looked like. I will say I think Ayo takes a lot of plays off, but maybe he has to if he is going to be on the court every min. I do think he will be just fine here and improve in a lot of ways once BU is his coach
