I can confirm that Hawkins is on my flight from O’Hare to Willard. We are due to land around 12:45pm. He about had to bend in half to walk down the aisle.
Plane rides can't be fun for most bball players. Hope he got one of the emergency exit row seats, or at minimum an aisle seat.

Well 0440 said he "slacks with some", so it sounds like he either doesn't actually like some of the recruits the assistants talk with, or he just simply doesn't like that aspect of the job enough to give it his full effort. So while it's pretty astonishing if true, it's not very hard to understand. And I wonder if now that Walker has been told to take a backseat, that exposes Brad's weakness as a recruiter even further. We don't have someone to grease the wheels anymore.
Idk, but maybe there are personalities he know he doesn’t connect well with and tries to downplay that by leaving it to others. I’m being generous here.

I’m 6’3” and they aren’t fun for me. I can imagine it’s torture for someone 6” taller.

According to Evan Daniels Illinois was in to see Keon Ambrose-Hylton...

Dayton has certainly put themselves in a good position with Ambrose-Hylton, especially considering they got an early official visit. With that said, it sounds like there’s a ways to go in his recruitment and things seem to be picking up. Alabama, NC State and USC watched him early this week and offered. Illinois, Clemson and Arkansas have also been in this week and are expressing interest. Ambrose-Hylton is looking to schedule more visits, so this thing isn’t ending soon

If these next two weekends go well and we get Hawkins and Miller, 2020-21 looks like this:

PG: Trent, Hutcherson
SG: Miller, Griffin, Grandison
SF: Tevian, Damonte
PF: Giorgi, Verdonk, Hawkins
C: Kofi, [Giorgi], Hamlin

Best case seems like those two plus Curbelo (would be a facilitator on a shooter-heavy guard rotation) and one of Ambrose/Ruzhentsev/Key (to further bolster SF-PF depth) and try to make the scholarship numbers work. But if we get just those two guys, I see a great starting 5, decently experienced team, and finally just enough bigs to keep guys in their natural positions. Not taking this for granted but it seems fairly likely.

Unless you're expecting a transfer, in which case you positional breakdown would be off, I don't think we can take Curbelo AND Ambrose/Ruzhentsev/Key. Or am I missing something?

Right, that's what I meant by "make the scholarship numbers work". We've had a lot of transfers recently and it's always a possibility, and yes that would throw off the positional breakdown. My main point was that by getting just these two guys, we could potentially have a very solid team next year.

I asked that because I actually know that Jamall locked down recruits and his role in those recruitments. I think I have a pretty good track record for my info and I think a lot of people on here will back me up on that. I’m not going to reveal exactly where I get my info from but I know a lot of people scattered throughout the athletic department.
By all means protect your sources (and consider bringing back your avatar)...but if by chance you are Jamall Walker, could you cough twice and wink thrice? It's okay - we're all friends here.

Good news! Coleman Hawkins has only been in town a few hours and he’s already posted a photo op with the head coach!! 😳🤦‍♂️🤪
