This is what I heard. 1-3 pm tomorrow @ Ubben is the current plan.

With good news to follow @ 4. :hailtotheorange:
Hopefully this will help soften the blow of the football game tomorrow night, or perhaps it will be the best Saturday night in a while for Illini Nation. Color me cautiously optimistic at best.

Really can't decide on how I feel about our Miller chances. Lot of things pointing our way, but AZ made the trip to Chi this week so obviously they feel they are in it. Hope we can close this down. The longer it goes, the worse I feel. Maybe that says more about me than it does Miller lol.

Update on the Miller OV.

He got to his hotel room and the staff had this surprise waiting for him. Adam's nickname is "Ace Wolf"

Very cool touch. :shield:

Maybe a recent player leaving Kansas along with possible NCAA violations getting ready to hit, will help us with KK Robinson maybe?

Isaac McBride a 4* PG from Arkansas is leaving after only 3 months on campus. Bryant and LRock are very close, can't imagine these two haven't chatted about Kansas in the past possibly? Either way, does it help or possibly hurt our chances with KK?

Doesn't seem to hurt. Also I don't recognize anyone listed other than KK. Help.

4* vs. 3*
110 vs. 220 Natl
Assuming this is SR vs. Hawkins, I thought the rumor was that the 3*/220 Nat'l was on the verge of cracking the top 150. That would move the 2 much closer seemingly. Who knows if that matters to either one or not, but It seems that they may be more closely ranked than previously thought.

Personally i dont put much stock in ratings after the first 50 or so and even then i put more stock in the offers players have. I feel that the top coaches are much better at evaluating players than the guys at these websites. Isint evaluating and developing talent one of a coaches main jobs? i feel that may be the main reason some lower tier coaches move up from places like SFA or Western ILo r other lower DI programs. since they dont get top 50 guys. Now the guy that was mentioned does have some very solid offers and in all likelihood is better than Hawkins at this point but Hawkins has time to develop and had solid offers too. I said had past tense! Go Illini.

I find it amusing how we rationalize highly ranked players not coming here because they are afraid of too much competition. Yet the blue blood benches are full of 4 & 5 *s.

I don’t know enough about the inner workings of college basketball recruiting to tell you for sure if that does happen or not, but I don’t find it implausible to think that a player would find it “worth it” to be a freshman on the bench at Duke & not worth it to be a freshman on the bench at IL.

A lot of people don't understand recruiting, and don't care. And who can blame them? Most of the time it's watching sausage get made. There's a lot of influence, and a huge amount of money for schools to make with a winning program. Players go where they're taken care of based on a long list of criteria, not all of which the NCAA would approve of. PT and competition are a factor for some, but yeah, the blue bloods prove it's not a factor for most.
