To answer my own question from a few days ago, the evaluation period begins Friday where coaches can finally be off campus watching recruits.
D1 Recruiting Calendar
“An evaluation period is that period of time when it is permissible for authorized athletics department staff members to be involved in off-campus activities designed to assess the academic qualifications and playing ability of prospective student-athletes. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts shall be made with the prospec- tive student-athlete during an evaluation period.”

Offers are good. Visits are better. Commits are even better but signing you've hit a home run. Having that player actually show up and play for you...you've got a GRAND SLAM!Giving out tons of offers is all good and well, but getting kids on visits is the special sauce I’m looking for.

Wow, Freeman going from unranked completely to #93, that's impressive. He just picked up 2 new offers this week from Marquette and NW.
Honestly expected Freeman to be ranked a bit higher. Just watching his videos he's a good looking athlete for a big, and I'm thinking he's closer to 6'10" (and likely still growing). Young man has a very high ceiling and it wouldn't surprise me to see him within the Top 50 a year from now. Hoping BU can lock this kid up soon before the offers on him grow to a crazy list!
Agreed. He has legit offers from Big Ten, Big East and ACC schools. I’ve said his offer list is indicative of a top-50 player. I hope we land him.
