That may be the public reason, but big time programs have been blowing up his phone behind the scenes for a little while now...
Yeah this is what I’m thinking. He has had some great performances of late that have led to attention from new schools. Given that the school he had committed to has lost two (and likely 3) of its ACs, including the one that had been his lead recruiter and it is not surprising he would open up his recruitment. I think Illinois still has a good shot, but just got a whole lot tougher than it was the first go-around.

I think assuming Storr to UK is a bit of a reach. I get people think he's going to end up in the top 50, but the chances of that are unlikely. Who knows what led to his decommitment. It could be that he's received a lot more interests from other programs, but I doubt it was Chin saying, "Come to UK".
It’s extremely likely and I’ll be shocked if that’s not the case.

Sure seems like getting a Storr commit reflected very positively on the Chin/OA capabilities to bring in talent 6 weeks ago. If he was on the fence regarding committing they likely had a huge $$ interest in getting him to verbally commit before the bidding wars began--I had been wondering if they pressured/incentivized him to commit with some reassurance that things are likely to change in another month and he is under no obligation to stay committed to Orange and Blue. We seem to be a really good "leverage" school for recruits and assistants... And I'd still prefer to have guys who want to be here.

I won't be surprised if Bass is next. Don't want it to happen, but!!! Remember all "agreements" between Storr and Bass and UI were strictly "agreements" between them and Chin/OA. Now that those 2 are gone, there are no agreements, thus open up recruitments. If it is true that none of the 022's nor the three 021's had any contact with Illinois after OA/Chin announced leaving shame on Underwood. If also true that Chester had to get phone numbers from one of our media and start to call recruits then again shame on Underwood. Not ideal!

Need to get the positions filled ASAP so new guys can begin building relationships. Hopefully we bring in new folks who can sell us again to AJ and our on court performance backs up the sell.

Ky has their hooks in top 25 guys. Storr is ranked in the low 100’s. Chin will learn that Ky wants burger boys. If they start bringing in guys above 100 the fan base will let him hear it.

Cool. So I suppose we need a list of schools that we need to clear recruits through first. Like make sure some of these other programs don't want our guys first.

Really shouldn’t surprise anyone, at least it happened early.

Was this actually suggested somewhere?

I hope Ky doesn't have their hooks in Bass. 🤣

Here comes the board meltdown. Stay calm before going straight off the cliff. Brad knows how to run a program.
Agree. I will stay loyal to the guy who led us to a #2 ranking that I thought we might never see again. However, I do hate that in the last 30 minutes we lost 2 guys (Storr and Huss) even though we never really had either of them.

To be fair, we don’t know if Huss has turned down the offer.

Didn't we figure out last year BU doesn't talk with recruits /s. Or is this just repeated during anxious times?
