What's the over/under on Adam Miller reaching out and totally trashing the program to him?
As an outsider, unlikely. He has family members that were Illini and he has friends on the team. Sure the fans may not like the departure, but it was an overall clean separation.

Looking at the graphic for Tre Mitchell tells me we are in the lead. He lists Illinois first and it isn't done alphabetically as LSU is ahead of Georgia and Bryant. Thus, the science will show we are clearly leading the pack. Irrefutable evidence really.

I wouldn't necessarily say it was a clean separation. Spreading word that the coaching staff lied to you after you started every game isn't the cleanest transfer situation I have seen. There was definitely some murky areas to why he transferred, even if the coaching staff and Adam made it seem like it wasn't a big deal.

A Tre Mitchell commitment would definitely lighten the blow that has been this off season. Roster would round out nicely with him.

That is news to me.

We don't know who actually spread that word. I doubt Adam was the one telling Big Tim those things (if anybody actually told him anything). Seems like the kind of thing where somebody semi-connected to Adam tells Tim something like "he wasn't given the opportunity they said he would have" which turns into "the coaching staff lied to him" and then that is the quote that ends up spread around.

That was supposedly what was being said. He was told he was going to be a primary ball handler and wasn’t given the opportunity. I don’t 100% believe that’s true. But that’s what others were saying.
No situation is going to be exactly as planned and promised. I have a hard time believing AM was told he would be the primary ball handler with Ayo, Trent and Curbelli on the roster.

I believe he was likely told he would get major minutes, which he did. He started pretty much every game for a team that was a NCAA #1 seed.

He had a historically good season for an Illini freshmen and played solidly. He had oppurtunities to have a better season, but doesn't yet have the skillset of AC. The Loyola game was a glimpse of those skills. Faith/trust in leadership is a must but hard to atrain and often the root and bad decisions. AM appears to be very dedicated to skillset training. Believe his success at LSU would have been similiar at Illinois. This horse has been beaten ash gray.
