Insiders, any idea if we’ll be in on Quincy Guerrier? Know we were in his final 3 out of HS and the kid blossomed into 3rd Team All ACC this year. Would be just as good as getting Liddell imo

Not an insider, but the 3rd of his final 3 out of HS, besides Syracuse and us, was Oregon...recruited by none other than Mike Mennenga! 🤞

No, wait, there are still high school players who want to come to Illinois even post-OA? Shocker.

Think recruiting is on hold, until the dust settles. Hope we can hold onto Chin, so our some/most? of recruitments don't fall back. Not sure if they'll fall back to square 1, but new relationships are going to have to be established. Fortunately, there's time for the HS kids. Transfers don't need nearly as much time, for the most part. The players and scheme are the draw.

Hopefully our new assistants will have relationships with most of our current recruits as well. It seems like the same 10-20 schools all have "an in" with the same kids. I hope we can snag Mennenga because he seems pretty connected.
