I mean I get what you are saying but Damonte played for the Fire.
Yeah that was an oversight lol but we are really recruiting nationally at a very high level. We'll see what happens going forward, and 2023 is loaded with Illinois talent, but we don't have to rely on it to be successful.

With that being said, give me Fears as our first 2023 commit, please

Well if we were to add an Irvin to this staff I'm sure the players would admire them as much as the women do Corry Irvin. She has really helped the culture of that program, from what I'm told.
We need all the help we can get with the women's team. BU has his dogs already.

Is there a decent chance Oweh commits next week after his visit? And is Huff scheduled for an OV? Thanks for any info ya got, DB11!
Absolutely. Staff feels good about their chances with Oweh and wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls the trigger.

They are trying like hell to get Huff on campus for the Maryland game in September. As others have alluded to, we certainly don’t lead but I’m more optimistic than others based on what I’ve heard.

I would say Corhen, Whitmore, and Oweh are about the only realistic targets left on our board. Potentially Casey if there is/was a change of heart or if Anderson has a lot of pull there. If we can land 2 of those 3 and fill in the gaps with transfers next summer this could be an incredible class. Especially if we land Whitmore
There will likely be names we aren't even aware of now. A year ago who knew of Melendez and Podz?

Yes, he's really skilled. He, Whitmore and Udeh all have genuine star potential. Dawgs.
Owen is probably one of the best glue guys out there. Doesn’t have the shooting prowess of a Schutt but a great option if Schutt isn’t happening. Probably won’t have to worry about him transferring because he is used to playing and not being the alpha with Duren and Lively.

Totally trust you bro ......but why is he rated out of top 100?

Is it outdated and needs to be updated?
The offer list helps to remove some of the noise once you get outside the top 100 or so. The guy ranked one spot ahead of him, for example. has offers from George Washington, Marquette, and App State. Corhen has been offered by 19 schools, including us, Kansas, Florida State, Creighton, LSU, Oklahoma, USC, Arizona, Georgia, Arizona State, Florida, etc.

Seems like a Top 50-75 player’s offer list to me.

I don’t know man? Are the rankings still affected by how covid impacted evaluations?

have you watched much of him? I think it’s obvious to see he’s a major talent. One could even say “elite”.
