Corhen wanted to come here. Told multiple people within the program that he was coming.

However, his Dad has always liked FSU. He told Cam they needed to explore all their options so they took the FSU visit. Hamilton sold his Dad on him becoming the next FSU draft pick. If you don't jump on board now, then we will go get someone else. Cam was told this is what's best for you and you need to go here.

That's all there is to it.

It sure will be nice when we put a few more guys in the league at multiple positions and can make the same pitch.

So no Corhen and probably no Whitmore. Bummer for sure. Who do we have realistic chances of landing now?

The last piece of the puzzle for this program to have sustained success is continuing to win and put guys in the league. I think both will happen.

Hopefully, our players will be benefitting from a very healthy NIL revenue stream too.

Did FSU hire Fleck?

If I were a player of his skill set and had no loyalty to any college program I would choose FSU as well. Their recent history of putting players with his skills into the NBA is very impressive. Next up. We will find someone.
Florida State has recruited well, which generally means they will "put" players into the NBA. They aren't doing anything magical to turn bums into NBA draftees.

If I had no loyalty to any program, I would chose Illinois over FSU. We have a much more popular program (no one gives a crap about basketball at FSU). NLI opportunities likely greater at IL and likely win more games.

This is it! These kids are all drafted off potential. They weren't stuffing the stat sheet at FSU or even displaying development attributed to FSU.

To be fair here, Devin Vassell was ranked #200 in the 247 composite when he was recruited by FSU and after two years was drafted #11 in the NBA draft (lottery). Our best success in the last decade is taking the #32 recruit (in the same class actually) and after three years getting him drafted at #38 (second round). I completely understand why someone would be impressed with FSUs track record of getting kids to the NBA, which has been pretty much unrivaled of late as far as non-blue bloods goes.
