Would think UM would be tough to beat, but presumably they are going to land Jett Howard who plays the same position and is similarly ranked. Not sure I would want to compete against the coaches kid for minutes.

Is Bama realistic? MSU?

At all levels you need to be 2x better than coaches kid to get more minutes. Kind of saw this in our program.

You don’t need an “inside guy” to tell you there’s no way that website is legitimate. You really think Kofi is concerned about $10/month for him to send you a private email once a month?

So you don’t think 1000 everyday fans contributing $10 a month would mean much to Kofi or the other players huh?

For those of you doubting this website, here is the direct quote I received from University of Illinois Athletics:

“I can confirm that I am aware of ILL NIL and that it is a legitimate and productive way for you to support our student-athletes in the NIL space. I would encourage you to get involved with ILL NIL and any other NIL opportunities that you may want to entertain.”

I’ll provide the name of the person I’m quoting in a direct message if you still don’t believe it. I didn’t ask him permission to share his name publicly although he is in a top position.

Bottom line is ILL-NIL is legit and shame on anyone who is discouraging its use. You are directly hurting our players and our team!

I don't think anyone was discouraging it. If anything, people have said to do your due diligence before you throw money at NIL related stuff that claim to be in collaboration with athletes.

If you take that $10/month and multiply that by a couple thousand fans..............is he no longer interested or concerned?

I get that. I do. If you’ve heard the guy behind it talk, he’s not what you would expect. He’s just a fan. But he is doing this as a service project with his own money and sending 100% of the money donated to the kids. May not be the best decision for the site, but I got rankled about people calling it a scam. It’s the opposite.

No, let's not shame people for questioning an illegitimate looking website in 2021 where we all receive multiple spam calls every day. If you don't want people to discourage its use, try using spellcheck when creating the website. As someone who works in IT, I would immediately suspect this site for phishing/scamming. If the university can't afford someone to make a better site than that, we have bigger problems. I could make a better looking site in an afternoon. If it walks, talks, and quacks like a duck...

Whitmore has not committed yet but everyone I talk to has told me it is all but a done deal he is going to Nova.
