Pretty much this. Foran reports a lot of recruiting info. If I haven't seen it before, I'll post it here (without the wacky comments). I was doing this long before Nutt went on hiatus.
WRT Foran, he's not a wild-eyed Kool-Aid drinker, IMO. Yeah, he's a huge fan and a cup half full guy, but he's also pretty realistic. Has he made a few over the top comments? Sure. Big deal. Don't like his stuff? Ignore it. As always, take all recruiting info with a grain of salt.
Me too, has there been any "news" on this front, are we out of the race for him?

Not to desecrate ShampooBanana or The U of I....... or really seriously comment on this kids decision in any way.....but I would have done literally anything to get out of central Illinois. Terrible, illegal, awful things. Breaking Bad things.
Don't know what's happened to Champaign Urbana since I left 26 years ago. It was a great place to grow up. I honestly believed that I would never leave. I've only been back three times, not because I didn't like Champaign, but friends and family have all left.
I loved my time growing up in Illinois and going to U of I, but I moved away and I'm never going back. I can't blame a kid for wanting to go elsewhere.

Yep. And even though he didn’t see very good Illini teams, the O&B seems to have struck a chord with him.
I was not implying Joel was nutt or nutt was Joel, I even appended an /s at the end.
Joel's a good dude, I'm merely pointing out that in nutt's absence, Joel has filled the Foran gap. I don't have an opinion on Foran or his quality of info. Mostly it reminded me I hadn't seen nutt on for a while and I was concerned for him since he was a constant poster and stopped out of the blue.
To add some recruiting news. I've heard some whispers about Whitmore but nothing that would denote a change of course from Nova, but everyone is kinda stumped on why it's taking this long.
Better them than Wisconsin or another Big Ten team at least

Illinois may have too many guards for him. He can play right away at Penn State and even Oklahoma has more immediate playing time available.
