Can they give him game tickets on an unofficial visit. StubHub tickets start at $232 each and go up quickly from there.
Dont like that even a little bit. Even though it's a great national game in his home state and maybe he's just taking advantage of the opportunity, it's not a good thing for Illinois any way you look at it.

recruiting is never done until the player announces. This fanbase should know that better than any. That said, we're still what, 2 weeks away from early signing period? Things will still change between now and then.

It's not done when the player announces either. Need to continue until they sign, and then after they sign - especially since they changed the transfer rules.

he's now thinking the Donda education has him in line for a Rhodes Scholarship.
Not sure anyone can answer this. Is the school even running yet? I really hope this works out for all these kids.

Stupid question, but what if he wastes a year and doesn't get a HS diploma at Donda due to accreditation issues.
Does he need that to play in the NBA?

For a guy like Taylor he can just go pro. For most of the other kids that go there, if the school ends up as a debacle, they may end up being 19 or 20 year old college freshmen.

I asked in July when we might see the next commit. Consensus seemed to be August/early September. HS seasons start soon and I’m wondering if we see anymore this fall or if most of our remaining targets wait until spring. Hopeful for a (good) surprise during the signing period, but honestly don’t see anything trending in our direction at the moment. Of course that’s usually when something happens. Go get’em Chester!
If Kanye wasn't behind the creation of this school, I doubt anyone would have transferred there before knowing if the school would be certified. I'm sure the young men that have transferred there aren't concerned about high school graduation. They will either go pro or a blue blood will "fix" the diploma issue.
