Support if you can. Let's not be bitter if we donate and he doesn't end up in o&b though. It's a fundraiser...

Even though he is not a guard, I hope that Ty Rodgers saw this game & felt like this team could use his toughness just like Kofi saw that game years back & realized Illinois could use a big like him

The leaders in recruiting year after year are the teams that are winning not the teams showing weaknesses.
Well we won a whole lot of games the last two years so that should bode well. More games than Duke, Kentucky, & Memphis. Lost last night due to turnovers & they were tougher

Can we sell him on two things? 🤷‍♂️ Brad has said multiple times he likes players to bring different things to the table and clearly toughness is one that Ty can bring.

Exactly. That's what we'll be selling him, not "We're lacking in toughness."
I don't think they sold Kofi on lack of toughness, they sold him on position of need, winning in the future and scheme. Along with that he was at a game that they lost because they had no inside presence. He was willing to take on the challenge and fill that position. I'm just saying I hope that Ty saw that lack of toughness last night and felt like that is something he can help with. The wins and the other recruiting pitches to him speak for themselves.

That's an easier sell when you're two years into a rebuild and your recruiting competition is a ho hum UConn program (at the time of Kofi's recruitment UConn had just finished a 16-17 season). On year 5 of BU's tenure, recruiting against MSU, that is not the selling point. It has to be "we have arrived, come be part of something great, we will win and we'll get you paid (NIL) and give you a shot at the NBA"

I agree. But MSU wasn't very good last year. They were not too far off than a 16-17 record if my memory serves me correct. And hell UConn has won 4 or 5 championships in the last two decades. UConn and MSU have gotten players to the league too. I'm not going to pretend to try to understand why players choose what schools, but I hope Ty stays instate.

He's from Michigan.
