My takeaways from this....
Thanks for posting. Very impressive, not one turnover or missed shot!
Fears? Possibly JJ and Boswell?
I believe I heard he has family in Chicago and has spent a bunch of time there.Thought Dainja is from Minneapolis. Did he grow up in Chicago and move to Minny?

This is what I’ve read too. I also think he worked with Tim Anderson some when Dain still lived in Chicago.Believe his family moved north when he enrolled in HS.
He was born in Chicago
Would he be eligible next semester? No idea how a mid semester transfer works in the penalty free transfer era.
When you grow up in a basketball family and you grow up to be 6 feet 9 inches tall, Dain Dainja had to figure the game would be a big part of his life.
“I’ve kind of always been tall,” he said. “In the 7th grade, that’s when I had my growth spurt.”
But his basketball background started pretty much at birth. Dainja’s father played for the Gophers in the early 90s. His grandfather played for Northwestern.
If he brings the right attitude to Fletch, the rest of the teams in the BIG could be in a lotta Dainja ... I couldn't resist ... I will also walk myself out!Watched a few minutes of the posted video on Dain. He certainly looks to have a skill set that we don’t currently have on the team. Hopefully the foot injury isn’t a recurring thing and work with Fletch really pays off for him. Have to love the upside. Now the staff has to get him to buy in to get him to reach his potential.
The kid will be a stud for us
Next year.I take it we had an open scholarship. Was looking for the most recent scholarship grid.
Welcome Dain!
When would he be eligible, first of the year?
Go ILLINI!
