I can’t imagine Boswell being a 5 star pg without the ability to handle. But the big key here, is having a pg who can pull if the defense misplays a ball screen. At that point, you only need enough handle to split or find a passing angle if they start to sell out to stop the shot. Not really a whole lot to ask of a high major point guard.

Boswell has outstanding handles. I think his impact in college could be on par with Brunson's. Furthermore, I think he's a better defender than Brunson (coming out of HS).

Just to be clear, I love Ames. But if there's an exclusive or, I'm taking Boswell all day, every day.

Is Boswell one-and-done quality? I'm not great at evaluating HS talent. If he is, how would that work on our end with Epps/Harris/Podz and even a potential (but unlikely) fourth year Curbelo?

Also, from his end, if he is intending to be a one-and-done guy, why would he choose us if we have all these players at the 1 and 2 position already (and maybe even more through transfers)?

I'm sorry if these are stupid questions. Freshman student here who started following basketball at the beginning of this season.

much harder for short players to make that jump to the NBA. Jalen Brunson is a pretty good comp, and Brunson played 3 years of college.

Here's my humble (or perhaps hilarious) suggestion: How about this is the only thread where players transferring away from IL speculation is on topic, and only with regards to the scholarship count & without naming names. How does that sound

Yea....speculation on whether a specific player is transferring out or in could be making things more difficult for players and coaching staff in regards to whats actually going on (with the transfer portal) that most of us have no clue.

No chance. That fadeaway J put him in the first round. :)

And hey folks, do your part. All these guys have locker rooms at the Illini Store with their merch for sale. Kofi’s hoodies are pretty sweet.
I saw a floor level photo of Kofi's J. Man, he was really elevated!
