My wife grew up in SoCal, and loves those skits. She says that they are a pretty accurate representation of direction giving/telling.
I don't follow recruiting as closely as I used to, but is it odd that Boswell- a 5 star recruit - who said he is about to announce a decision in the next week or two has Zero crystal ball predictions? By contrast Fears had like 8 crystal balls
You will start to see some movement and a bunch of crystal balls for a certain team. That is a sign that the information has leaked and a commitment is coming soon. Those analysts want to keep that correct percentage as high as possible.
His point is well taken though. Whatever his intentions, he's kept a pretty tight lid on it.
Thank you - yes, I looked up Fears for contrast and all 8 crystal balls "updated" their prediction the day he announced and they were all correct! But it's still odd nobody has thrown their hat into the ring of predictions for a high profile recruit who has basically indicated he's down to 2 schools

Not odd to me. They dont want to be wrong, especially with the commitment being so close. They dont want to pick a school this week without having all the information. Then next week comes the analyst would have to flip the decision. You not really an insider if you picking two different schools in a weeks time. Boswell has kept a tight lid on things. Not a whole lot of information is getting out besides the information he is giving during interviews. Thats how it should be.
So make of this what you will but Matt Babcock is a former Arizona player/walk-on who “has strong university of Arizona ties.”

I remember that movie well, I came home after minor surgery as a high schooler still feeling the pain killers and laughed my butt off. In retrospect it wasn't that funny, but still entertaining biop of the meanest man that ever lived.
