Just curious. As recruiting is fluid, if all of the dominoes at present fall the Illini's way what happens when someone else pops into the portal. A 5* small forward or athletic 7" C that has interest for instance.

I can't help but think a good chunk of the level of vitriol comes from gamblers who lose money on games. The fact that every podcast and website centers discussions around the spread makes me sad.

The rest of the toxic fans have made sports their religion. That's a deeper and different problem.

Whitman has always been vocal with how much he dislikes gambling on college games and how it leads to exactly this sort of thing with grown adults acting like complete jerks towards college kids because they lost money.
