Monte PF, J Williams point guard, floor general, good in pick in roll and in transition. One of the top Iso defenders in the nation last year. I love Trent but he shot 32% from three last year and no one is saying anything about it and that's essentially who J Williams will replace....not Monte.
6'5" Trent with a few years left. Sign me up!

I am well aware of all the Alan Huss talk at the time. Not trying to pick a fight, but he did say “in place and signed”. The rumor was pretty much out there at this point. I believe he came in strong and definitive to give the impression that he was an insider. Then, the “deal” fell apart and our newest “insider” didn’t post for months. You can take dish, I’ll take the field.
I'm not "taking" anyone, thanks.

If the guy can be a serviceable point guard, with length, and good defense, then you take that all day no matter what you get from his shot. Especially if he is expected to be a bench guy.
Agreed. Might not be top priority, but with his size as a PG, a 2 to 1 assist to TO ratio and his defense he looks pretty good as a 1b/2 option. His 30 steals last year would have been 2nd on Illinois, and his 76 free throw attempts would have put him third on the team last year just behind Plummer.

Brazile imo depends on Kofi. If Kofi is back, I would expect the additions to be something like: TSJ, Skyy, and Williams. Williams would be a depth piece and the other two would start.
Starting lineup would look like:
Skyy
TSJ
RJ
Coleman
Kofi
Bench:
Williams
Epps
Rodgers (he will likely play big minutes off the bench)
Goode
Dain
There it is. There's the big athletic lineup we need to be elite :D

A little off topic, but caught a few bits and pieces of thebMcDAA game last night, which, admittedly, has lost a lot of its luster. I know the dukies got all the love and Whitehead won MVP, but good lord is Whitmore a player. Sorry we missed on him…maybe wasn’t the biggest name but in a game full of 5 stars he stood out athletically. Guessing he is one n done.

The only reason I ask is that some brothers don't want to play with one another and others do (though there is that possibility Skyy moves on before his brother would arrive). I know that is why I didn't go to the school I wanted to straight out of HS.
Skyy explicitly said that he wants to play with his brother if I'm not mistaken. Therefore, landing ZZ definitely will become easier.

You mean the Skyy Clark who is also *checks notes* coming off an ACL injury?
If you read about his rehab while he was still committed to Kentucky, it was quite amazing. The rest is above the neck for him. Luckily he has a father who really cares and is in his corner. I've been researching the fellow, and he IS a 5 star recruit. Sure, he could have the very so so impact of a Marcus Liberty, and I wouldn't pin all my hopes on him, but his upside is tremendous. At least he isn't a turnover machine.

Liberty also had Battle and Anderson on that team, so he really wasn't expected to do a whole helluva lot. Once they left, his game flourished. Averaged 17.8 PPG his junior year before turning pro.

He also wasn't used as a wing on those Flyin' Illini teams according to Stephen Bardo (from https://uofi150.news-gazette.com/people/marcus-liberty):

"In Marcus’ defense, he really wasn’t allowed to play his natural position,” Bardo said. “Marcus is much more effective when he’s a two or a three, and he really wasn’t able to play that because we were such an undersized team. It kind of took away from his game.”
