Podz probably had the steepest adjustment of all the freshman. He came from a HS where he was the biggest and most athletic player every time on the court.

His jump shot has shown flashes of being reliable and he now has a big ten body, but I’m curious how he moves beginning next year and Tim Anderson’s affect on the skills of our guys.

If you remember Alan Griffin freshman year and then sophomore year, he looked like a different athlete. He went from being a stick in the mud his freshman year to a solid athlete his sophomore year. Hopefully, Podz’s lateral movement improves with Fletch, too.
Don't disagree with most of this but Podz jump shot is and always has been $. Yes he was the biggest and best kid in HS but he also played high level AAU with the likes of Johnny Davis & Patrick Baldwin and shot it at a high clip. At 6'5", with the amount of time he puts into the gym, he can be a very high level shooter in the B1G. Whether he can guard at this level will remain a question mark until he consistently proves himself but I think we can all agree that he'll guard/rebound more than Plummer did

It will be very interesting who wins the transfer portal in the B1G. Every top team is losing talent this year.

Also, like 0440 said a few days ago...there are still a ton of transfers out there that haven't officially announced yet. We're just getting started!

I like Podz high arching jumper and it does look nice. I hope with more volume his percentage gets much better than the 23 percent he had vs DI talent. I think it will but shooting in high school or AAU is different than he B10 and I hope he improves next season.

Hoping Mintz goes to Depaul, would love to see them in the tourney again soon.
Have to disagree here. I think the narrative of DePaul as a perennially sleeping giant is wildly overblown, they've been catching those Z's for 2+ decades now.

However any recruiting momentum that starts getting established by P6 Chicago area schools can only hurt us, regardless if the recruit in question is from Chicagoland or not.

That said, it indeed looks like Mintz is headed to be a Demon. Speaking only for myself, very much hoping his hype never comes to fruition in aligning with reality.
