Would love for him to end up at Butler. They are my other team. (Wife is a Butler grad)Was hoping Podz would stay. Hope he ends up at a mid major that gets a ton of fan support (Butler, Drake, Wichita St)

Good luck with that. How do I change my user name since Podz is in the portal? LOL
I'll just take a wild guess and say he isnt happy to know he was 2nd option to Murray. Or maybe worse, Kofi is not returning.Wait, what changed?
Staff is expecting Kofi to come back, all I will say. Announcement should be within a weekI'll just take a wild guess and say he isnt happy to know he was 2nd option to Murray. Or maybe worse, Kofi is not returning.
He's gonna end up at Northwestern and be a pain in our !!!...He’s not a PG. But he can shoot and I hope he doesn’t end up at Indiana.

Who will fill the void at SG? Personally I believe you can mix in Goode at the 2/3 with Rodger, Harris and Epps. All interchangeable. Why do we need to add experience? We see where that got us last year.

My point was you want to give fresh more play time to see whether they could climb up on defense to help you make decisions. Also, the lack of points has a compounding effect that your opponents can focus the defense on our players, which make you lose more points. For example, if grandi was healthy and could handle the ball better, I would play him over DMW. RJ needed minutes close to Grandi's minutes.I probably very slightly agree but that point is debatable. It comes down to the value of points versus everything else, and I don't have all the stats/analytics to weigh that myself. It sure seemed based on the eye test that his other virtues were no longer clearly making up for his lack of points by the end of the season, but I don't think that's an open and shut case.
I suspect it will be a very large domino. Like, 7 feet tall.I NEED to know the next domino!
Think the staff has an "ACE" up their sleeve?yep. and 2 guard transfers possibly
Dont mean this as snark but he kind of has to make a decision in the next week and halfKofi decision is coming up...should hear something in the next week

He's an option, I imagine, but it sounds like there are other priorities.Think the staff has an "ACE" up their sleeve?
A lefty to replace a lefty, perhaps........Think the staff has an "ACE" up their sleeve?
He just needs to work on defense.Yes I can. Griffin comes to mind. That's why he left. If you don't think that RJ and Griffin havr more talent, size, length and ability than some of those he is referring to then you are blind. If you think you are right then just wait and see what RJ does. Give me a break. It's beyond obvious RJ brings talent and athleticism. That's not hating on DMW at all. It's pretty obvious. I'm not saying DMW should have played but Griffin and RJ both have had Illini fans wanting them playing more for good reason.
I dont think peeps are saying all world, but he is a 6'5 guard thay seemed lije he could handle a little, definitely shoot, hard worker and has some solid potential defensively. For me I saw a little Brad Davidson without being dirty. Two things I don’t get, why people keep thinking Podz was all world after his first season with very little time. And the narrative that Coach Underwood doesn’t play freshman. He’s played freshman a lot every year. Thanks for the info 0440,Lville, and Indy much appreciated.
He was an Illini. We love them all ex or notI'll say it, I never understood the Podz love around here.
Gotcha. Seems like Ramey is an option they may try to get here. He's an option, I imagine, but it sounds like there are other priorities.
Where it “got us last year” was a conference championship. So are you suggesting that the two open scholarships remain so and just carry them over? Recruit 2 more 2022 HS recruits even though likely to be lesser quality since so late in the game? Take in two transfers but only if they’re not experienced — or if experienced just not as good as the guys we have now so the current guys play plenty? Those seem to be the three options to achieve no more experienced players. I like the fourth option of bringing in experienced, talented players who make the team better and deeper.Just reading the tea

I didn't want Griffin to go either...I think it was more for mom and baby mama...talking about RJs defense.Griffin was playing his butt off and went to Caus and I for one didn't blame him. He was one of our best players. I'm glad RJ stayed
I mean so with everything you mentioned he still didn’t play, kinda tells you everything you need to know right?I agree with this but think there were some missed opportunities this year. For example, I struggle to understand why Podz didn't get a chance at more playing time given the struggles of Curbelo throughout the season. And then we get to the tournament and Grandison is on the floor when he can't even lift up his damn arm. No excuse for him being out there. And finally, I love me some Trent Frazier, truly an all time Illini, but is he really the guy you want out there for 60+ minutes against Chattanooga and Houston when his infected and crusty eyes are clearly impacting his game?
