I love Curbelo coming off the bench. I realize he wants to start and respect him for that. However, by bringing him off the bench there's no rest for the wicked. Put yourself in the opposing team's shoes. The Illini sit Skyy down for a breather and here comes the biggest pest (meant in a positive way) in the Big10. There won't be any......We can take it down a notch because Skyy is taking a breather. Rather with Curbelo in, the intensity gets ratcheted up 20% driving, passing and hopefully an improved mid-range and 3-point shot. Just the thought of this scenario makes me smile.

Curbelo coming back would be unbelievably great. Him with the new guys would be really exciting.

As long as we are wishin' let's go ahead and hope Grandison comes back too. Unfortunately, I don't see either happening. Hope I'm wrong on either one.

Ok, did I miss something? Why are you guys projecting a lineup with Curbelo in it?

EDIT: Nvm!!! Just ran through the other thread LOL

So if Belo is back, I think IL stops looking at transfer guards and focuses on big men that can shoot, a la Vander Plas. Anyone else we're actively recruiting that fits that bill?

Isn't there someone from NC state that fits that bill? Plus a reclass from Jazz would fit the bill also...

Just my opinion, but I kind of feel the same way over the last 3 weeks in reading nearly all the thousands of recruiting posts here. Since before Belo entered the portal the end of March, we have had 1 great addition to the team... signing Skyy. We have also had a few of the bench players enter the portal. We do have some freshman coming in with a lot of potential, but we knew that before the end of March.

Guess, in retrospect, I have had too much time on my hands and am addicted to reading these posts.

For the insiders who agree that a fresh start for Belo would still be best, would you care to say whether that is for on-court or off-court reasons?
