This is accurate. My understanding is that the prior assistants were were not as high on him, but when the new staff came I. They made a push for him. His final two seem to be Gonzaga and Va Tech - which makes sense for the push when CF came on board. Think we were too late in the game. He’s going to be a good one - think his rating is way off what it should be. Will be interested to see how he develops.
Easily could have been a top 50 player at worse.

I agree. Kofi has his positives but with the team we are putting g together with guys who can drive the ball, a 5 who can pull his defender out of the lane helps open things up. I hope Kofi does what is best for him and getting if he leaves, I hope he succeeds at the next level. Having a guy like Augie replacing him would be a great asset
I know what you mean but the bold text implies that we'd happily "settle" for our all time rebounding leader.

Agree that a smart, tough 6-10 gazelle could help us. /s

I pray Kofi comes back for 2 more years! Kansas just won a a Natty playing 6, Tarheels in final playing 6. I love our roster: Kofi, Hawkins, Rj, Goode, Dainja, Epps, TyRodgers, Sencire, Bbverdunk and SkyyHi!!!
I would love a experienced guard that can sub in. But play 6 or 7 of these men and go after 3 titles. Big10 regular season, Big10 tourney, and Natty!

I certainly didn't take it that way . I think the point is someone who can extend defense a bit more with a 10 foot shot would be a different look. Another direction. Not settling at all.

How much interest would we have in a guy like Kepnang if Kofi leaves? Seems a bit limited offensively albeit small sample size. Led Oregon in blocks though and is a big body.

We've won an awful lot of high profile recruitments lately. This is not John Groce's staff anymore. We'll still get told no much more often than yes, but that's the nature of recruiting top players with lots of options. As long as we win some we're good.
Amen brother. To the perpetual haters/doubters, point me to a time when Brad has lost consistently. First find a magnifying glass.
