No it’s called common sense. Jay Wright isn’t going to just surprise a University he loves and a program he has put at an elite level with a quick retirement. I’d say they have known this was coming and so did the recruiting class. Look at the timing of retirement announcement and replacement announcement. Now as we all know nothing is guaranteed these days with recruits/players but it does appear Villanova and Coach Wright had a plan ready to go.

Cam signed his LOI in November. He may have been notified in the last couple weeks but he certainly didn't know prior to signing. Feelers will be sent and we will see what transpires in the next week or so.
