In response to Dan's last post yesterday, I typically prefer a glass case of emotion

Could you explain why you wouldn't want a guy who averaged 20/7/3 and shot 40% from 3?
half a step too slow. Didn't play any real competition, and we showed in his one game vs a high major that it is a little tougher where he shot 20% from the field and 0% from 3. Of course that is only one game, and we really focused on him, but I think it put in context that mid-major players stats can be quite overrated when you try to translate them into a P5 conference.

I said I'd be fine if he ended up here, but I'd prefer Baylor Scheierman or a guy coming back from the NBA. The fact that I don't want him to be a competitor shows that he's right on the verge for me.

But how is his defense? That is obviously what BU values first right now. We have some offensive firepower, but need some veterans who can come in and teach these young guys how to defend at a high level.

disagree. he had Trent Frazier guarding him and we threw the house at him. he had to carry a team on a nightly basis. he would get much better looks at a school like Illinois where he does not have to force shots

What proven offensive firepower do we have? We return like 13 points per game. We lost over 80% of our scoring. We don’t need more defense. This is the big tens problem and why they don’t win more. An over emphasis on defense. Good offense will always beat good defense. I could care less how anyone defends. We need proven guys who can put the ball in the hoop.

Since it’s been a bit slow regarding recruiting…perhaps a bit of levity.
We live in metro STL. My step-daughter is a junior in HS and is a brainiac. We’ve visited a number of schools to find the best fit for her and what she wants to study (Neuro-Psych research, PhD program)
Have visited the honors program at the beloved, as well as U of Chicago, Vandy, IU and Purdue. (Yeah, yeah on IU and Purdue, but they do have good academic programs). Not sure what the best fit will end up being….
Her HS had a field trip yesterday to see Mizzou and she tagged along to chill with her friends. No interest in Mizzou, but a fun day for her.
Since they were a large group (45 students) touring Mizzou, everyone knew they were in for a visit. Every time a Mizzou student walked by and said “M I Z” , she simply help up her flash cards.
Most people didn’t know what she was referencing, but there was a group of her and her friends that would reply with “N O Z”and she said they had tons of laughs with it.

I could not be more proud of the way she’s being raised.
