Combination of the staff feeling confident about Nance and waiting to see who might drop out of the draft, I imagine.

with some free time maybe someone can fill us in on Spring AAU. 20 years ago it was nothing. Then 10 years ago it seemed to be a big thing where guys who made a regular season mark were able to get more eyes on their game. But I don't know if it's gone by the wayside or is being overlooked by the portal, but there doesn't seem to be the buzz around it that we've seen in recent years (aside from Covid times)

As of now, no

Yeah, think they'll likely have some backup plans among not-so-big names, but for now are in a holding pattern to see what those guys do with the draft and if they do go back to college where they want to play. We're a great spot in theory, either can start and their presence really vaults Illinois up to looking like one of the better Big 10 teams.
