I have so much confidence in BU and staff that this doesn’t even get me rattled. Best of luck Jake. Would not surprise me if he busts out somewhere else. Hopefully not against us.

Hope Grandy fills a big role on some west coast team.
Grandi has provided some really awesome moments and games for us. I’ll miss him for sure and wish he felt he had a bigger role on this team.
If it’s between keeping RJ happy or landing Nance, the staff probably made a business decision.

UW (Washington) could use him. UW could use anybody right now. Hopkins is doing a damn fine John Groce imitation out here. Its not a great time to follow UW mens’ basketball. Or UW sports in general other than softball or rowing. Note UW here means Washington not Wisconsin. Huskies not Badgers.
Man, it's tough out there. Thank you Grandy for your dedication to our school and program. No position is safe. He gave some good years and helped us make two great runs in the B1G season and tourney, but in the end, it's a business. (assuming his decision was less of a mutual one, more of an understanding that his role has changed on the team) Now, he opened the door, but shows you just how tough it is that someone like him who the staff will say great things about, can't find a role back on the team. I don't blame BU at all...just the nature of things now...only a few kids you'll keep a scholly open for. Unfortunately, Grandy wasn't one of them. Hate seeing a dedicated O&B leave, but wish him all the best and hope he'll think of himself as an Illini first and foremost.
