I have a very different read. I like his age and potential, but I believe he's a development project. Our 8-9 man rotation is already pretty much set.I will be surprised if this kid does not play a lot and maybe start this year. Watch his highlights. He is tough and just won the MVP award for the 21 and under pro league. I love his skill set and aggressiveness. You guys are used to the Illini getting projects over the years. This kid is no project. I will be shocked if he stays more than 2-3 years. Chet Holmgren is one inch taller and only weighs 195 lbs.
Can he get NIL from outside the U.S.? I saw an article where the Brown brothers in football are pulling down some good coin from Canadian and Australian firms.Another factoid that makes me ecstatic: as an international, Perrin doesn't qualify for NIL money. So, we beat out some very stout competition solely on stating our case. Love it!
Sorry to hear. If your doc will prescribe you Paxlovid I strongly recommend it. As long as you blame the taste on someone else.I'm stuck in a hotel having tested positive for COVID while on travel, so when is this alleged good news coming?
I know mine did. I spent the entire morning in doctor's offices. Go Illini!Hopefully, everyone's Monday just got a little better ...
I agree, Deon. This is Pastor Joe's dad.I have a very different read. I like his age and potential, but I believe he's a development project. Our 8-9 man rotation is already pretty much set.
Does Tim Doyle have a kid he can send to Northwestern?
Son of Kendall Gill. St. Ignatius finished in third place in the 3A division. Gill lead the JV team in scoring and played some games with the Varsity team as a Freshman, but did not play in the Semifinal or Third Place Game.
Offers from UCLA, Texas, Memphis, BYU and Florida certainly mean we had to beat out some legit programs to get him. Very exciting, guess I'll be watching some Euro U18 FIBA action in about a month.
WAY too early to know very much. It's most certainly a nod to one of the all-time Illini greats, but it never hurts to show early love for a prospect with great genes. Is this a "friends and family" courtesy early offer, or is he already projecting to be a highly sought after prospect?

I get a James Augustine vibe.Dating myself but his body type and way he moves reminds me of Brian Cook.
We can only dream he will stay 4 years, develop into an AP All American and have a 10 year NBA career.
I like the fact he is left handed.
He's got a good pedigree for his age, but still really young (who knows what he grows to for instance). This and next summer are pretty big "AAU" summers for figuring out how kids stack up. Last thing you'd ever want is to come off as though you weren't sure if you'd even be interested in the son of one of your program's legends and then watch him blow up the next two years. Is this a "friends and family" courtesy early offer, or is he already projecting to be a highly sought after prospect?
Winchester, is that you.....?

Well, my in-laws are coming to STL tomorrow for a 9 day stay. I have been planning on large amounts of alcohol consumption beginning this evening in an attempt to best prepare for their lengthy visit.Hopefully, everyone's Monday just got a little better ...
bumpAnyone have a sense of the quality of play in that league?
