I will be surprised if this kid does not play a lot and maybe start this year. Watch his highlights. He is tough and just won the MVP award for the 21 and under pro league. I love his skill set and aggressiveness. You guys are used to the Illini getting projects over the years. This kid is no project. I will be shocked if he stays more than 2-3 years. Chet Holmgren is one inch taller and only weighs 195 lbs.
I have a very different read. I like his age and potential, but I believe he's a development project. Our 8-9 man rotation is already pretty much set.

Another factoid that makes me ecstatic: as an international, Perrin doesn't qualify for NIL money. So, we beat out some very stout competition solely on stating our case. Love it!
Can he get NIL from outside the U.S.? I saw an article where the Brown brothers in football are pulling down some good coin from Canadian and Australian firms.

Perrin looks like he has great potential, I know he's been playing in the 21 and under league which I'm sure has a good deal of talent...but not sure the talent equals that of top D1 ncaa programs...otherwise there would be more of those players getting offers from major D1 programs here in the states....Perrin will play some meaningful minutes this year, but be in position to play major minutes year 2 & 3.....type of player that BU seems to be adding to the mix....pretty much checks all the boxes.....long, athletic, quick....and he's a lefty! Good job BU and staff :hailtotheorange:

Is this a "friends and family" courtesy early offer, or is he already projecting to be a highly sought after prospect?
He's got a good pedigree for his age, but still really young (who knows what he grows to for instance). This and next summer are pretty big "AAU" summers for figuring out how kids stack up. Last thing you'd ever want is to come off as though you weren't sure if you'd even be interested in the son of one of your program's legends and then watch him blow up the next two years.

Hopefully, everyone's Monday just got a little better ...
Well, my in-laws are coming to STL tomorrow for a 9 day stay. I have been planning on large amounts of alcohol consumption beginning this evening in an attempt to best prepare for their lengthy visit.
The expansive consumption has just transitioned to joyous exuberance because this coaching staff has crushed it yet again.
Man this program is in great shape.
Cheers!!!
