Brad has offered 33/125 or 26% of top 125 ranked players. I assume they are not all commitable :)

Silly me - I assumed after landing Perrin there would be a 3 month pause on news until basketball practice started.

I feel for the coaches - I guess even with dead period - recruiting is a 7/24 12 month a year commitment. I thought our coaching staff was younger but I guess not.

Perrin looks like he has great potential, I know he's been playing in the 21 and under league which I'm sure has a good deal of talent...but not sure the talent equals that of top D1 ncaa programs...otherwise there would be more of those players getting offers from major D1 programs here in the states....Perrin will play some meaningful minutes this year, but be in position to play major minutes year 2 & 3.....type of player that BU seems to be adding to the mix....pretty much checks all the boxes.....long, athletic, quick....and he's a lefty! Good job BU and staff :hailtotheorange:
So you’re confirming he’s Toni Kukoc 2022?

I agree, but keep in mind it's only June. Loyalty hype train hasn't even left the station yet.

Rankings don't matter ... But these are pretty bad IMO and I watch all these kids a lot 🤷‍♂️

I'm not impressed by any of the rating services, particularly when it's relatively early in the cycle. But I feel pretty strongly that 247 >> Rivals & ESPN. This latest list from Rivals reinforces that opinion.

I wonder where Perrin would fit in this year's ranking had he played in the states. Also I am curious since he is being 17 and hearing how much he has grown if he is still growing over the past couple years if he is still growing or not.

Giorgi's best season was as a high usage post (25%) for a team with limited options. A volume scorer for a 12 win team (and also an all-time fun Illini that helped us to where we are today).

Perrin will definitely not be able to repeat that stat line, but making the French U18 team at 17 tells me he has a legit shot to be better long term...
I agree with this - his role won't allow him to match Giorgi's numbers next season as a freshman, but we don' want/need him to

He seems very comfortable in the high pick and roll and with his size and length, if he just rebounds, gets his points down low and passes out of the pick and roll well, he will be a high value contributor - if he develops and outside shot, he will be a star down the road. He also appears to have the right mentality and team mindset which is a huge part of long term success
