Nobody is going to want to play us this year. We are too tall too quick too bouncy too deep and have too many shooters. The beginning of the season might be a bit frustrating with all the new players, but the wave after wave of players is going to really pay off as the season moves forward. Perrin is the perfect last piece.
Agreed. The team of mid December will be much more dangerous than the team that opens the season.

I took Brosky's point to be about the talent level of the 8 players coming in new to the program, not the overall talent level.
Yes, agreed. That's also what I was addressing in my response, above. The annual influx of talent (large quantities of new players) is pretty much a necessity in today's game. I'd say our reload is is probably guaranteed to be Top 10 or Top 12 ---- but this is what seems to happen every year at UNC, Duke and KY.

And given we're ranked only 25th in one of the early polls, I'm speculating that many other schools have done the same....hence my list.

Yes. These days, most teams will have to deal with huge roster turnover on a pretty regular basis. Didn't someone say that Arkansas has 11 new players (a few of them 5 stars)?

Do we have any estimate where he’d rank? 4 star?
I'd guess 3 star. I don't think he'd be a top 100 prospect, but there's definitely tools there to work with. Especially given that he's still only 17 y.o.

Yes, 11 new players with overall rank #2 and transfer rank #5.

2022 HS Recruits: Three 5 stars (with Anthony Black, teammate of Ty's on Under 18 FIBA) and three 4 stars.
2022 College Transfers: One 4 star and four 3 stars.

He makes $4 million/year. When he signed that deal in 2021 he was one of the top 10 highest paid coaches. Very few programs can play ball at that price.

OK its been 24 hours since we got a recruit. Brad you had 24 hour break. We want some 2023 comittments by next week!

Love this Illini marketing. We should do it at Midway, Springfield, Willard (C-U), Decatur and St. Louis.

I will agree to put one in Decatur if we EVER get a talented player out of that city. I grew up there. My memory isn't perfect but I can't remember any and that goes back to the days of Lakeview HS. Yeah, that says a lot (closed in '82).
