Bruce Weber was on the sportstalk this morning and said that the ncaa is sticking hard to their rule where you cant transfer a second time without sitting out.
He did say that while they have the mental health exemption, to take advantage of this rule, you will have had to have been established in treatment for mental health for that to be a viable option. in other words, you cant just say i have mental health issues because my coach yelled at me. He added that he thinks a lot of kids and their parents dont understand this. Kids are tranferring anyway thinking they will get a waiver or they will fight it in court. I would have to think that would certainly have an affect on who the coaching staff would accept in the portal. Having said that. It is my opinion that if a coach like Pitino comes into a place like St Johns and tells the players (Curbello) he doesnt want them back, then I do not believe those players should have to sit out.

Remains to be seen if enforcement can stand up.

Also, if you get one freebie, do you get another freebie via the graduate transfer rule? Hadn't seen that discussed.

In other news affecting the shape of the college player pool, reports are this morning that the NBA has a new 7-year collective bargaining agreement with no changes to one-and-done.

At present, which player has better odds to be at Illinois? Curbelo or Hunter?

Today is probably the day you shouldn't believe everything you read on social media times 1000. Heck probably best to take a 24hr break from social media for 24hrs. Going to be more nonsense than usual

Not a fan of Hunter's act, but he's a heck of a player.

And at this point there's the idea of having 3 first team all-B1G players in our lineup. That would be huge.

But, Hunter

I was thinking about that when people were (still are?) frothing over Brandon Murray. The last thing I want is for the staff to successfully recruit a guy, only to find out he won’t be able to play for a year. Michigan may find that out the hard way with Nimari Burnett.
