Geoff is still very much actively pursuing the Western Illinois job …
Obviously, I’m for whatever is best for us.

I like Geoff a lot. If he did ANYTHING at WIU…like at all…he would be a legend.

Nothing seems to ever really get started at WIU…

Eastern had Kevin Duckworth. SIU has had some tournament runs. Northern has been competitive here and there…Western has been a coaching graveyard pretty much. (TOUGH to win there.)

If it does happen…I hope it works out for him at Macomb.

Don’t forget about Henry Domercant!

I have seen enough booms in the past few days to feel like next year's roster may be even more talented than this past year's.

And more importantly, that it will be a better TEAM, with identity and culture restored.

The thought of these pieces being fully bought in and pushing each other is tantalizing.

So I will just enjoy the ride.

Apologies but those booms were just from last night’s chorizo Bamba

I mean Gentry did the hard sell but did I encourage him to take a second look after he initially said “heck no” … Better believe I did …
Speaking of.... If Geoff does leave any chance of wooing Gentry back? I know he rubbed Chin and OA the wrong way but he has always kind of been the Underwood whisperer.

I’ve said it before. I’m gonna say it again …

This is a 6 boom offseason … 2 have already happened …

We have 4 left …

Assuming we do get the 4 additional 'booms' that will leave us with 12 players who have legitimate claims to significant minutes. That's impossible under normal circumstances but I wonder if BU would consider a balls out press if that came to pass. When he discussed the semi press last year I believe he referenced an all out press but said we didn't have the depth at guard. This year we would. I love the idea because the only time this team played inspired basketball last year was when that sort of press was used. Put Harris, Harmon and Rodgers out there together for a 5-10 minute spurt of insane pressure.

1. TSJ - Definitely
2. Hawkins - Definitely
3. Boom PG - Definitely, as many as he can handle
4. Dainja - As many as he can handle (which realistically might be below 30)
5. Domask - Will play a ton
6. Rodgers - Will play a ton
7. Goode - Will play a ton
8. Boom Big - Will need to at least soak up the extra Dainja minutes, it will be a bigger role than a Payne/Lieb
9. Harris - Will play as much as the completeness and steadiness of his game allows, so maybe still not a huge amount
10. Hansberry - spot minutes
11. Harmon - spot minutes
12. DGL - spot minutes

Depth is good but I do feel like we're burying Hansberry more than I'd like to.

I bet 10, 11 and 12 wouldn't agree at all with your assessment, especially 11. He surely wouldn't have transferred here if he thought that was at all true.

I think you are underestimating Hansberry. He could potentially play a big role this coming season IMO.

Harmon isn't coming here for spot minutes. He likely won't start, but he'll be in the regular rotation. Hansberry also plays more than spot minutes unless he's a shocking disappointment.
