Last year BU really went after a veteran PG but a high quality guy isn't generally going to want to come for 15 backup minutes. So I think we'll once again going to have problems with depth at PG. In the fall, DGL looked like a solution but the insider murmur suggests that he's not ready.
I'd be more than happy with one stud PG. I don't think there is nearly the risk with a 5th year player leaving the team like Skyy did.

I dunno about that. Backups are good.

1. injuries (like others have said)
2. foul trouble
3. misc. act of/wrath of god type stuff

Sure backups are good. But realistically if we get (crossing fingers) Tyger of RayJ, do you really expect another experienced quality PG to join us? I don't think Harmon or DGL playing 8 minutes at PG would kill us.

Maybe? I dunno. Harmon is a pretty big question mark…and I’m not sure it’s gonna be approximately just the 8 minutes.
Who knows?

Yeah..It’s a lot of unknowns/ifs. Gonna have to wait and see how it shakes out I guess.

Not an insider but I do have a solid connection on this one. We are not the leader but definitely in the mix. I’ve heard it will likely come down to scUM, IU, UNC & Illini. Family loves Juwan so if he can right the ship, feels like they’ll be tough to beat. This is going to be a dog fight to the end. His relationship with Ty gives us a shot for sure.

HA.

Eat it, miznoz.
Mizzou has things rolling. I was nervous of their chances. Gates is a terrific coach and I don’t ever want to bristle at stiff competition, but I enjoyed seeing him miss out for once.

I agree that what we have second string is good for 10" at the point. But, I also think that PG would be the hardest position to replace for an injury. I realize that no star will want to come for 10" a game. But, at the end of the roster it might be a good spot to give someone who is better (at PG) than what we have. No injury, minimal foul trouble, we will do well with just the PG that BU gets. On a side note, I think Domask will be a pleasant surprise for the Illini, and will start >10 times 23-24 season.

I never called our cook little man. But, we did have a short little guy that cooked every night. Did not talk a lot but he was hilarious when he did.

Man that was 26 years ago though.
That is his nick name but he is a big dude he has been there 17 years
