With all due respect, they had a better season than we did and they pummeled us as their place. I was there, it was humiliating and for the first time in a while(I go to that game every year), they had a great contingent. That wasn't fun and Buie problematic for us. I'd just assume he move on.
I was going to suggest burgoo, but I guess pork ‘n beans works.
He is actually coming here to back up Tyger, who is backing up Rayj. That is some depth at point.

Hate to be debbie downer, but i think Hawkins probably needs to move on. Great defender but needs to spend a few years in euro ball developing an offense.
Bad decision making on that end will keep him out of the league until then.
So… Yogurt Talk is back on?
If Hawk moves on, we wont be hurting as we have Rodgers, QG and Hansberry to fill those minutes Plus a transfer portal as well. We won’t miss a beat. I like Hawk and him moving on to the pros helps with recruiting.

I really want Shannon back because I don't think you can find a replacement at this point(Raequan Battle would have my choice). There just aren't many wings of us caliber available though maybe I'm missing someone but portal is closing soon.
I'm pretty indifferent on Hawk. If they get RayJ or another similarly talented PG and Shannon comes back they will be loaded with guys that can score with RayJ, Shannon, Harmon, and Domask all leading their team in scoring last season. Plus you have Goode, Rodgers, and Guerrier.
I think the Illini need another 5 more than anything and insiders say Hawkins doesn't want to play the 5 which is an issue because they have plenty of people capable of playing the 4 and no rim protection(also Dainja is better suited for a part time role imo). Guerrier and Hansberry are both 4's and Rodgers is perfectly capable of playing while Domask and Goode have enough size to play small ball 4 since the illini have good length throughout the lineup playing some small ball lineups could be nasty.
