Similarly, I vividly remember going to the Arizona State campus when we took them on in football (ugh that was an ugly bloodbath of a game) and within seconds of seeing the talent of their ummm college body, I was deeply regretting not going there for college, instead. Champaign was a nunnery by comparison, lol. They should be pulling in 5 star recruits on the daily to visit.
Cue quote from Anthony Edwards' L.A.-college-going character in The Sure Thing mocking John Cusack's character concerning northeastern college girls:

Gib : I'm gonna miss you, Lance.
Lance : It's your own fault, you know. You should be coming out to California with me.
Gib : Yeah, right. Get a totally bitchin' education out there, dude. California. You could be coming to New England with me, you know.
Lance : Are you crazy? The Ivy leagues stink. All they got there are those ugly intellectual girls with Band-Aids on their knees from playing the cello. No thank you.

Mmmmm. Daphne Zuniga...

I'm no expert, but at 6'10", that looks pretty darn good. Obviously, no clue how that translates with real game speed and pressure.
Would really have to see next to the other prospects. I would imagine the shooting is pretty average for that stretch 4 type.

I've seen a few NBA players that are only average to good shooters, shoot around like that and they basically don't miss. Also, have seen like a 50 year old Craig Hodges shoot and he legitimately does not miss.

The rest looks basically about correct from the eye test. He's a fairly fluid athlete but lacks explosiveness.

What's the plan if Shannon and Hawkins stay in the draft and RayJ goes elsewhere?

Can speculate all you want on "what you would do but no one really knows. Its not even confirmed that these were OVs or UVs. Regardless, he could end up here but right now it's not good news that he's visiting elsewhere. He's not taking 5 visits over 5 weeks, its a strict schedule so not like he's partying it up at all the spots. He's gather info to make the best decision at the end of the day

Sure, by everyday/neighborhood/C-U standards...but by Hollywood/Cali/Univ. of Arizona standards?

Perhaps I misread the intent of the screenwriter, but I took the moral of the story to be: You can spend an eternity and drive 10,000 miles with her, ditch her to make your play and eventually get turned down by the hot chick (and may as well give it a shot with all of her friends), and the Daphne Zuniga type is still going to be there for you. ;)

There is a week long dead period starting Thursday so unless he drags it out longer or makes a very quick stop back in Champaign we likely won't get the last visit.

Let me guess. You were also a D student?

My guess is he’s waiting on hawkins and tsj to decide. If they both stay in the draft why would he want to come to champaign?

From what I see on here it looks like we better be looking for another point gaurd in case Ray J doesn't commit. Things have already taken longer than what we were led to believe.

Don’t worry. If it comes to that there may be other options that come up later. Players from other schools that haven’t thought about transferring may look into it after looking at our situation. I know it’s hard to be patient but we aren’t going into the season without a veteran PG.
