Underwood at the plate... bottom of the 9th 2 outs bases loaded...3-2 count.. here's the pitch.. Underwood connects.. this one's high and deep- this balls got a chance.... Calipari back on the warning track.... He leaps.. did he catch it?
He did oh my.... John Calipari makes a spectacular catch to rob Brad Underwood of a Grand-Slam to win the world series!

Lol believing there should be a healthy pg on the roster of a program with high aspirations does not make anyone an Underwood hater or a “man-baby” who whines their way through life. It’s a reasonable expectation, which makes for discussion on a message board.
Totally agree. I like Underwood a lot. And I'm not even saying it's his or the staff's fault. I'm just saying what an absolute dissapointment that as of now we will be absent the one position that may have made this team special. And by the way, disagreement is not hatred. The word hater has become so misused.

Will any Underwood haters on this site tell me the name of any point guard who has been in the portal besides Dennis who would have pleased you?

I miss the days when everything didn’t have to be one extreme or the other on every single topic.

Wanting Brad to improve the position that caused us the most problems last year doesn’t equal Brad Underwood hater.

You can like him and also think he screwed this up so far.

IRT RayJ Dennis, there were two pretty serious miscalculations. 1) How much influence the father actually had over the decision (not as much as believed) and 2) the intense negative recruiting that would occur when RayJ took other visits. I know many fans don't believe it, but the situation with Jayden Epps hurt the Illinois program in multiple ways.

Once Dennis locked in those trips to Michigan, Utah, and Baylor, they really should have more seriously explored other options. I think there was overconfidence in the NIL collective, honestly.

Agree that other programs have gotten more guys to the NBA.
None of RayJ, Tyger, Mulcahy,Collins, etc will ever see an NBA court so I think there are other reasons none of these guys are interested.
I have a more bizarre theory. Next year's team will be have depth inside and on the wings. The point guard position is open. RayJ would only have to beat out the two freshmen and success is almost guaranteed. He would have the support of a large, fanatical fan base.

Maybe it's too much pressure and he's not sure he's good enough to meet expectations?

Or maybe he doesn't like the idea of being yelled at?

my theory is that the number of shots available was not optimal (i.e. 3rd or 4th option). am not suggesting that Ray J is a chucker, just that he wouldn't be taking as many shots for us.

Of course your life is not like this. It's just what I imagine when I read some of those negative takes and posts.

Where is Reeves in the order for shots and like always Coach has to keep everyone happy and playing together. Hopefully that’s a good problem to have.

That’s my guess also. He knew his job at IL would be to distribute and he wants to put up big ppg.

Did Reggie Bass commit to anyone, he had a pretty good freshment year at Central Michigan. Believe he had a great game against Michigan and he plays PG. He was committed to us before, would feel better if he was an option besides Williams.
