Based on last years team what do we a PG or better shooting?

I think we will be a better shooting team this upcoming year. I am not sure how we will be at PG but if we hit open shots we should average more assists. I would be more concerned about the assist to turnover rate

I once fielded a fantasy football team using only players named Smith, Jones, Johnson, or Williams.

Results were poor.
I’ve often thought the NBA All-Star game should be The Tatted vs. The Cleans…
😁
But I think the teeter has tottered on that one…

We’re about to have folks start up with the “I’m bummed we’re winning, now we’ll never get rid of him” stuff, aren’t we.

The narrative went from us getting a star PG or one of many solid backup options to "Ty, our sophomore PF, can play point" really quick.
If the Illini are going to go with a PF at point then I think CoHawk should be the one and he should play with 4 scorers (not with Ty or Sencire) to maximize offensive efficiency. Ty is at a disadvantage playing point with CoHawk on the floor as their lack of scoring punch makes for poor spacing.

Good read but embarrassing for Illinois. To go into the off-season knowing that pg was one of the biggest needs if not the biggest need and read how unimpressed they are with our pg lineup is tough. They aren't using orange Kool aid eyes and aren't pulling punches. We don't have a pg.... Just a hope and prayer a few players on the roster can fake it till they make it.

Mr. Podz's year with the Illini was , unfortunately , the year of the super senior's and kept him down on the depth chart......

What I can remember of his play was he had a good cut to the rim from one corner and RJ hit him with a bounce pass for a bucket.........I can't remember if he ever hit a 3 pointer for us ....he probably did , maybe in a non conf game.....
He hit two key 3 Ptrs in a game against NW iirc that we likely would not have otherwise won.

If Ace Baldwin is #6 then it is a pretty dang good list. He was conference player of the year in one of the best mid-majors.
Baldwin is underrated on that list imo. I would place him at 3 ahead of young and I think 4 is the lowest you could fairly place him. He is going to absolutely eat Braden Smiths lunch when they play each other.

Realistically Tyson Walker should be 1. MSU has multiple players capable of playing the point.
