Jeez. Count me as a bit fed up with BU. If this roster somehow pans out and leads to a 2nd weekend appearance, well then great. It’s the least he could do for Coleman and TSJ’s final year. But boy is he setting himself up for a falling out if things go awry.

Edit: if it’s true KK is available and he doesn’t pursue
Avatar checks out.

Sorry, you're way off. Sounds like you haven't seen him play and just make stuff up.

Lol … 😂😂😂

What are his offers again ? Ivy League is his best offer ? Indiana State ?

Here’s a direct quote from a Big Ten assistant: “The Yorkville kid? We’d take him as a PWO. Heard he was really smart. Would help boost the f’ing team GPA at least LOL!!!!”

They want him to boost the dang GPA … Clearly I don’t know what I’m talking about though … 🙄

The offers will continue to grow. Multiple high majors in contact. He has vastly improved this spring. (kids do that sometimes, you know). You clearly haven't seen him play.

It is if you put yourself ahead of the team. And after what we went through last year, wouldn't that be the last thing Underwood would want to do again?
That's a great question because last year, the PG position AND team cohesiveness were issues. Which one was worse? Going into the season with a huge question mark, especially at the position, is not optimal. It's a huge roll of the dice and if we falter because the biggest need in the off-season wasn't addressed.....BU's seat(who knows, maybe his assistant's seat) may get a bit uncomfortable. I mean, his job is to mesh personalities and their abilities for the good of the group. If it were me(and what do I know), I'd error on the side of bringing in the talent vs trying to figure things out on the fly....again.

I like our team with its current makeup but we are still lacking a legitimate point gaurd. Brad is a good coach but if we go into next year without picking one up from the portal and we have all the same issues we had last year it could put a lot of pressure on him. At least if we pick one up it can be said he did the right thing. If we don't pick one up and thing go south again it would be hard to explain. I like Brad regardless and hope it works out for him and us regardless of how our final roster ends up. Go Illini!

You're just making stuff up lmao. The only things coming out of the locker room that people on here have actually quoted from coaches or teammates have been positive. The only time its been said that he is bad in the locker room is random people on here making assumptions because how he behaves on the court to opposing players and crowds. You are the one fitting your own narrative.
Yeah because clearly that was a tight knit locker room without any ego issues.

I’d say he’s got a foot out the door if he’s skipping practices but maybe I’m getting Kerr-ied away jumping to conclusions.

Trending in that direction, but they're holding out hope that a new coach could convince him to stay.

1. Talk about trying to fit your narrative now you’re saying the entire Arizona locker room was toxic.

2. That locker room you’re mocking went 61-11 in the two years he started while winning the PAC 12 and the PAC 12 tournament, getting a 1 and 2 seeds in the NCAA tournament and producing multiple NBA talents. But you’re right, we would NEVER want something THAT toxic at Illinois

Seniority on his particular platform determines level of correctness on a recruit? Interesting. I'm glad you told me. I would have gone on believing that seeing a kid play pulled some weight.
No...but the person you are questioning has proven to be right more times than not! But...being new here, we wouldn't expect you to understand.

By the way, welcome to the board Mr./Mrs. Jakstys!

It’s not like KK is infallible. It’s been brought up numerous times he isn’t a great locker room guy.

We saw how that affects a team last year. Is what he bring son the court worth more than the dent in team chemistry? Can we even afford him? Do we want to?

Disagree this is a stubbornness. KK has a ton of question marks.
So, can we not just throw everything at PM and see what happens? Would he really turn down hundreds of thousands??

He is not turning down hundreds of thousands, he's accepting them from another school in another conference
