Ok, well that demolishes that debate. Is the assumption here that we're just rolling with the crew that we've got and let the chips fall where they may? This team board a plan in what, two months...maybe a little less?

The offers will continue to grow. Multiple high majors in contact. He has vastly improved this spring. (kids do that sometimes, you know). You clearly haven't seen him play.

That's a great question because last year, the PG position AND team cohesiveness were issues. Which one was worse? Going into the season with a huge question mark, especially at the position, is not optimal. It's a huge roll of the dice and if we falter because the biggest need in the off-season wasn't addressed.....BU's seat(who knows, maybe his assistant's seat) may get a bit uncomfortable. I mean, his job is to mesh personalities and their abilities for the good of the group. If it were me(and what do I know), I'd error on the side of bringing in the talent vs trying to figure things out on the fly....again.
I like our team with its current makeup but we are still lacking a legitimate point gaurd. Brad is a good coach but if we go into next year without picking one up from the portal and we have all the same issues we had last year it could put a lot of pressure on him. At least if we pick one up it can be said he did the right thing. If we don't pick one up and thing go south again it would be hard to explain. I like Brad regardless and hope it works out for him and us regardless of how our final roster ends up. Go Illini!

Yeah because clearly that was a tight knit locker room without any ego issues.
The team that got a 2 seed? I’ll take that kinda “toxic” locker room any-day of the week

Seniority on his particular platform determines level of correctness on a recruit? Interesting. I'm glad you told me. I would have gone on believing that seeing a kid play pulled some weight.

Yea but we were playing four against five essentially for multiple possessions while Mayer was trotting around in his sock. Someone said it earlier… that stretch summed up this past season… dysfunctional.
