LOL, very accurate! I've been an Illini fan for 50 years, for my lifetime we've been a basketball program with a few sparks in football. I still watch and root for our Illini in football. I guess the difference for me is if I can't catch the game live, I'll record and watch basketball games but not football (if they win).
Didnt the team go to the Rose Bowl in 1963. Butkus and Grabowski????

Not that worried about "missing" on Cole Certa. More worried about backing off of Nojus Indrusaitis.
Nojus couldn't carry a team as the lead guard/wing with Morez and James Brown to more success in high school.

I'm honestly not that worried about losing him. I think Windham has even outplayed him on the same team in the eybl and I believe he only has mid major offers.

Nojus is a 2/3 and I think he will be a rather good one. I would feel a lot better about our class of 2024 if he were a part of it.

That's not a accurate way to describe what happened at St. Rita. Bad coaching and no point guard. (Why isn't the narrative that Morez Johnson, the best player, couldn't lead the team to more wins with a supporting cast of DI prospects?)

Nojus has been great this spring / summer. Scoring from all 3 levels and has advanced in terms of his strength and intensity. He had a really good June with his new high school.

Windham has shot well, but is borderline high major. He and Nojus are both scoring around 14 ppg for Meanstreets at the Peach Jam, but Nojus has more rebounds and assists.

That's exactly my point though. Even if you're supposed to be a 2 at the next level you should still have some ball handling and facilitating skills.

I have some serious questions about him being anything other than a spot up shooter at the next level if he can't facilitate at the IHSA level when you have two top 100 bigs to dump it to when you penetrate and run the pick and roll with.
