Did they? Did they ever even announce he was part of the team/roster? Looks like the staff saw or knew the flags from the beginning.Glad our staff knew when to walk away.

Love the Vizsla.
We got a cocker spaniel instead. "Oh, a sportin' dog is a sportin' dog," we said. And he does ferociously protect us from bees and sparrows when we're out walking, but maybe not quite the same thing?Love the Vizsla.
Bigtex, I expected better from you!
It's a line from "The Gambler" by Texas-born Kenny Rogers. I was riffing off a post from our own resident cowboy, WyattEarp, that was laden with gambling puns.
Great memories watching that team. Its a shame they didn't show up against Springfield High in the sectional. I remember going to Lincoln and stomping the Brian Cook led Railsplitters. That team was packing the gym BIGTIME! macArthur had some talent then as well. Could you imagine how good they would have been with MacArthur and Stephen D combined at that time? They would have given Manual a run for their money. That 1996-97 SDHS team was really great. Can’t believe they lost in the sectional final. Wilder was a great defensive presence and Bryson was a phenom scorer.
I was also at that game but had a slightly different take about the outcome. Went to some road games at Steven Decatur. Was always treated well as visitors That was a good rivalry. You are correct even though Manual was great, that combination would have given them quite a challenge.Great memories watching that team. Penn St weekend. Huge. Exactly what the staff was pushing for, right? @Indy Illini Fan
Or Jerry, before he changed his name back as an upperclassmanActually, Jarrod, which is what I typed before it auto-corrected to Jerry.
It’s pretty cool that he agreed to go into The Hall as an Illini though. Very Andre Dawson of him.
We’d make the cut if he was cutting his list to 1guessing we'll make the cut:
